★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Retro style cafe with a long history. Offers excellent Hainan Chicken Chop and Hainan Noodle. Others must be good too but that's all the stomach can take at one go ?. Notice s good choice of pies and the coconut candy reminds me of childhood days. Fast and friendly service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to give this shop a try after reading various mixed reviews. Looks cute from the outside and quite cozy for catching up with friends for dinner. The chicken chop was tasty. Restaurant price. Service could be improved further, and staff should be trained to be more welcoming.

Ordered the Hainanese chicken chop, beef Shepard’s pie and fried popiah. Everything was very good!
Service is also an experience. The elderly uncle and aunty will come take your order and serve your food, which will shame your Asian self to shut up about any long waiting time, rather than complain to the working elders.
Would not recommend their desserts.

The food, the decoration of the place, the music, the vibe….. everything feels like I was in 80’s kopitiam.
Please come to this cafe if you are in Penang.

Price is reasonable. Must try is their signature Hainanese noodles is a must so is their pork chop
Part of their history is the owner used to OEM for all d bread sold in supermarkets in Penang before retiring 10 years ago and open this restaurant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered the chicken chop (hainanese and creamy mushroom), chicken shepherd's pie, mushroom soup, and spring roll. The taste for the chicken chops were nice and not too salty, the gravy consistency was just right. Mushroom soup was a little too salty but the spring roll was lovely!
