β β β β β I never been to La Mei Zi before even though I heard everyone telling me, it is good. This is my first visit and I can tell you why it is rated as one of the best steamboats in town. One downside though, it is EXPENSIVE.. for anyone who is interested, refer to Jan 2019 price below.

β β β β β Air ventilation in the restaurant definitely needs improvement. Many customers came in and 'choked' by the spiciness of the boiling steamboat around.
Love the fried dumplings and assorted balls. Spicy fish steamboat is a disappointment, more like fish bone soup. Fish slices looks good but not fresh. Other meats e.g. pork, beef OK. Most steamboat Ala carte items came frozen.

and Old Duck Soup θιΈζ±€ are best-sellers. If you are craving for steamboat in the middle of the night, do pay Lameizi at Nagore Road, Penang a visit.
