โ โ โ โ โ It takes around 2 hours to reach Kuala Perlis Ferry station from Langkawi ferry station and vice versa.
The ferries are huge, some are 4 storied tall and you can go up to enjoy the view and fresh sea breeze throughout the trip. Or you can also rest in an air conditioned room.
The ferries are neat and clean.
On the other hand, you can also take the smaller jetties if you are not transporting any vehicles.
The jetties take less time, around 1 hour and 15 minutes and are cheaper, get clean, safe and comfortable.

โ โ โ โ โ The leg-room they set on Ferry 2 is borderline inhumane. I'm a 5'9, average-built guy and my knees were touching seat in front of me. This becomes worse if someone sits in front of you, as the leg-room gets even shorter and you're forced to bend your legs and tuck them under your own seat. Save your money and get a plane if you can.

โ โ โ โ โ The service on board is upgraded by providing snacks & drinks to be purchased in cash terms only. On time.Langkawians get a 5% discount for every ferry tickets by showing the address on your I/D.Advisable to buy or check the schedule a day in advance due to the extreme low tides here,the ferry will not able to depart till the tides come in and the schedule is best check a day before.Security level in Jetty Point Langkawi is also upgraded ,it's even safer, bigger and cleaner ,well maintained than before. Kudos to the company and staffs in making the image looks tidy and well- maintained.

โ โ โ โ โ Itz better to take morning ferry from Penang. It seems like they run only two ferries. One is ok and the other one horrible. Afternoon ferry from langkawi to penang is good. So it better to avoid afternoon ferry from Penang and Morning one from Langkawi. They turn off the aircons and also the view is blocked with non transparent windows on the worst one.

โ โ โ โ โ Good option to get to the mainland and VV. Not always on time due to loading and unloading. There was only one gangplank for over 500 passengers to embark or disembark. I had concerns for safety and evacuation procedures as it was not broadcasted and for the limited emergency exits.
