Maria’s has a few locations in the city but I always go to the KLCC one because it oversees this beautiful view of the lake and you get the occasional fountain shows. You could even sit outside to enjoy the breeze with your meal
They know how to cook their steaks here - I’ve been to a few steakhouses in the city that didn’t know how to prepare medium rare - but they can do it at Maria’s and I find this place a lot more affordable than many other steakhouses I’ve been to that weren’t even as good. I always get the spinach and steak fries as sides, and their pasta is a solid alternative for non steak eaters
I don’t like the fresh oysters because I like them chilled but both times I’ve ordered them here they were served way too warm
I always end our meal with the moist chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream is rich, dense, and satisfies the sweet cravings you get after a very savory, meat-heavy meal

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is Maria’s Steakhouse latest outlet and tagged as their signature branch. Looks small front the front but opens up to a bigger and fancy dining area in the inside which also include a limited number of al fresco seating.
In addition to the ala carte menu, they also offer linch special menu even over the weekends. I chose the lunch special surf and turf and added a less than RM5 for the dessert. The dish was quite substantial for the price, steak was good and the fish was fresh, the only criticism is it is lacking in seasoning, hope this basic expectation can be addressed soon. Dessert was a warm chocolate cake served with ice cream. Overall quite good and the servers are friendly and proactive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come for the view, great service and steaks that are 4/5. Wish the steaks were excellent.
Areas for improvement, probably better seasoning (great steaks shouldn’t need sauces for it to taste good), done-ness could be better (mine was still a little bloody compared to my wife’s despite us ordering the same done-ness with no blood).
The sides were good - mash (could have done better with a hint of truffle oil or just something to make it a tad special), the spinach was done perfectly.
Overall, a solid 4/5 - there’s room for improvement but will certainly be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last night I went here for dinner. We chose the outdoor option (which enabled us to view the occasional fountain show and enjoy the ambience). Our waiter, Ronelio, was friendly and helpful, ensuring a lovely dinner. The food was amazing (we tried both lamb and beef).
*To note, outdoor option may feel hot for some people despite the fan. Nighttime is cooling for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb polite service with great food. Steak so flavourful and the Mediterranean set is really good. Steak albeit medium rare is more cooked but still delicious.
The salad and soup all amazing
Tiramisu is better than carrot cake
