★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a challenging hike up this trail to reach the top. The route is gravel pasted but the steep climb on certain portions of the journey is breath sapping. Beginners will find it tough on the assent, time taken to reach the top depends solely on your fitness level, season hikers normally dwell between 35-40 minutes.
No less MTB enthusiasts challenged themselves for the climb. Along the way you will have glimpse of plantations, a tua pek kong shrine and lots of greenery.
You will be able to see both the bridges from atop apart from the city centre and also the Bayan Lepas area ariel view. If you're a sunrise or sunset viewer then the best time in the morning is not later then 7.00 am and sunset is between 6.45 - 7.20 pm.
There are a number of routes that leads to various places, the likes of Balik Pulau town, the telekom antenna towers, Ngoh Hean and Cheng Kon Tze temple.
Apart from the spectacular views of the island, you have plenty of greenery and lots of fresh breezy air.
I find it challenging yet enjoyable through it's tough routine. Must give a try if you're a seasoned hiker.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is a long trail. Took a total of 4 hours to and fro with a 15 minutes rest time at Fortress Hill. This is not a jungle trail. The first part is slightly steep. The 2nd part is more of a level road. If you are lucky to meet the farmers, you can buy fresh produce from the farm especially soursop.
