β β β β β Horrible Horrible Horrible. That's all I can say. I've been staying in this hotel ever since it was firstly opened. Initially everything was good. Their receptionist, room cleanliness, buffet breakfast & so on. But now it has gone very bad. Their staffs including receptionists are very unfriendly. I've left my daughter's and my personal toiletries in the bathroom and have contacted the reception couple of time. They took my number & name and yet have not contacted me in 3 weeks time. Very poor service. Not recommended at all

β β β β β Standard business hotel with many families staying over during weekends. Nicely located with hawker center across the street and Taiping lake is just 400m away. It's connected to Taiping mall, so its convenient to get your amenities.

There are two things that stand out with this hotel
1) The newly launched menu in their in-house restaurant. Items offered are extremely competitively priced. This can be a real crowdpuller for those that want high quality food at affordable prices in a nice setting. For example the Hamburger for 22 RM (if I am not mistaken) is a bargain and besides being priced this way it is tasty.
2) Location: Easy to get to and to make it a base for the exploration of the town. One direction is the Lake Garden, about 500 meters away, behind it is the huge wet market, lots of food stalls and if needed, the Taiping Mall is adjacent to the hotel. From a high-up vantage point in the rooms, the hotel offers stunning views of Taiping and the surrounding landscape.
Value for money? Absolutely!

But our room waterproofing (922) is very poor. Water leaking from the shower area to the sink area.
Overall satisfied
We get the pool to ourselves.
Parking provided and free.

β β β β β I come to staycation in Novotel almost once a year during Ramadhan. And it's still the best hotel in Taiping. Worth every cent of my money. Helpful staff, delicious food, clean and spacious room with nice city view. I even made it to the pool and the gym. Thank you!

β β β β β Been here many times before through the years. Located right smack in the middle of Taiping town, with everything less than 10 minutes walk away, Novotel is in the most enviable spot as far as hotels in Taiping are concerned.
Featuring semi-modern rooms, they are comfortably large enough with superb beds and are super clean. Amenities included are also top notch, and sometimes surpasses the 4-star rating it's been given. It's this sort of effort to go beyond that makes it my choice to stay.
The staff are always courteous and ready to serve. I've never had an issue with this hotel from check-in to check-out.
Highly recommended!

β β β β β Due to high recommendation, I tried this hotel. But maybe I have too high expectations and I checked in during peak season. Doing hotel housekeeping myself, I think the cleanliness can do better since the hotel seems doing well. I checked in at 2pm. The process is smooth, but the room might be not fully ready yet. No towel & toiletries provided is not well set up. I have to ask, but they assist well.
Other than, the room conditions is very fine. Great water pressure in the bathroom. In room iron & iron board, etc. And I would say their breakfast is the best! Really worth and delicious. Convenient dining hall & helpful crew.
The location is very strategic also. Cross the road in front of the lobby all Taiping attraction-foods are there. The mall attached offer not much but 7e, Parkson are there if you need quick grab.
Great stay anyway!

β β β β β Great hotel to stay at in Taiping. Great proximity to the tourist attractions. The rooms on 1 side of the building has spectacular view of the lake garden. The rooms are quite small though. I wish there was more space and furniture in the room to make it more home-y. I donβt know why the lounge are in the lobby are closed. They missed an opportunity to build a beautiful infinity pool with the view of the lake gardens and the hills. This hotel could be so much more.
