★ ★ ★ ★ ★ VEP centre in Johor. Appointment at 1030am. Website shown as open now, but counter still close since 10am. Staffs no urgency at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a dedicated collection/ installation place for the Malaysian Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP). No facilities, no amenities, just a drinks vending machine. Be prepared to be subject to the elements if it's hot or pouring wet, they only have an industrial standing fan and limited plastic chairs for people there waiting for the VEP. But the VEP installation process is quite well designed and straight forward, though it did take longer than 1 hour due to the document checks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place to have a little gathering and chitchat with gang of friends (many as you can think of, as there are plenty of seat available! with lights and fans of course). However, don't expect to have nice food and drinks (so far there are only 1 food stall and 2~3 drink stalls), but so what, bring your own tea set and fryer as there are electricity sockets available and are free of use! 5 stars review if they open more stalls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The R and R here has been closed for a year. The rest rooms do not work. So if you expect a long wait for the VEP, go to the toilet first. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vep tag installation point. Have to wait for mass registration and install at one go . Duration probably about 1 hour or more. Still waiting , red alert no toilet ! As according to prior arrive 15 mins earlier , doesn't matter if on the dot or slightly later . You still have to wait .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The toilets are clean and few coffee shops available to have a drink before entering JB checkpoints which usually in heavy traffic. You can also reload your touch and go card becuse you will need them once returning back to JB

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No shops open here and only for singapore cars going for VEP registration. Be prepare to wait for the VEP registration.... has been waiting for > 30mins

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The defunct R&R highway rest stop is now a VEP collection centre for Singapore cars.
Prepare all documents prior to making your trip here - 1 missing document & you’re gonna have to come back another day.
The entire process takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how early you arrive.
