Best night market in Penang so far. Worth the grab ride here. So much variety of food and great prices.

On Friday night, this energetic place will be packed with food vendors tempting you with delicious offerings like assorted sushi, yong tau foo, roast pork, char koay kak, prawn crackers and more. I particularly love the yong tau foo there. Even if I had to jostle through the crowds to get to the stalls, I will always have a bowl of yong tau foo at the market. It doesn’t matter if I have to stand and eat. That’s the essence of walking through night market isn’t it! Please do find this tiffany bowl yong tau foo if you happened to stroll around Jelutong Pasar Malam! Opening Hours: Friday, 18:30 – 24:00 Address: Jalan Van Praagh (Road), Jelutong, Penang

A tad disappointed as there weren't that many stalls probably due to the thunderstorm earlier. Still, we had our fill of the pasar malam makan. The stall owners are friendly and honest. I like Malaysians - humble people with good service.

This night market is opened only during Friday evening. It is possible to differentiate it into 3 wings. The right wing when see them from the Chinese school covers only food stalls linking all the way to the middle wing. The food stalls would cover a further one quarter length of the middle wing. The fruit stall covers the middle section before the non edible section begins and reaches the end of the middle wing. The left wing virtually cover non edible stalls other the section that is outside the Chinese temple's Parking area. The food down here covers standard Penang fare, Taiwanese fare, Fusion fare etc. The fruit section covers local fruits, oranges, apples, pears etc. The non edible section covers clothes, electronic accessories, umbrellas etc.

Lots and lots of stalls with food. Food stalls are mainly on the north side of Jalan Van Praagh. Merchandise like clothing are along the south side of the road.
