★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pulau Duyung Jetty Terminal located at Pulau Duyung Terengganu.
Pulau Duyong is a river island in the mouth of Terengganu River in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. Previously, it was divided into Pulau Duyong Besar and the smaller Pulau Duyong Kecil, but sedimentation and reclamation have united it as well as changed its coastline substantially.
This jetty is used primarily for offshore workers who travel to their respective oil platforms.
The boat that travel to the platforms usually departed early in the morning around 0630hrs. And the return boats usually arrived at the jetty around 1830hrs.
The jetty includes check in areas, luggage checks, briefing rooms, coffee stations, surau and boarding area.
The parking area is huge and free. However the slots are always nearly full because almost all offshore workers leave their cars there.
The Jetty usually open before 0430hrs for the offshore crews to check in. They close after the last boat arrived, usually at 1930hrs.
Jetty pulau duyung is very clean and have a cafe for outsiders.

"Pulau Duyong merupakan sebuah pulau yang terletak di Terengganu. Menurut sebuah legenda lama, pada zaman dahulu, dua ekor ikan duyung telah terdampar di pantai sewaktu musim air surut di pulau ini. Tidaklah diketahui sama ada kedua-duanya merupakan pasangan adik beradik, pasangan berlainan jantina ataupun pasangan ibu dan anak. Antara tarikan pelancong di sini adalah Galeri Seni Duyong, Kota Lama Duyong dan Bengkel Pembuatan Bot Tradisional. Akhiri hari anda di beberapa hotel di Pulau Duyong untuk pengalaman penginapan yang selesa."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most organised jety terminal for offshore worker. From checking in, security to immigration check, all are in sequence order. The staffs are helpful in every way. Breakfasts are served prior to safety briefing and there are drinks and snacks in a goodie bag for each passenger. During this fasting month, Muslim passengers are provided with sahur and break fast meals at the terminal. For those who tend to get sea sick, a prescription provided too. The baggage handler will assist to bring passenger's baggage safely into the boat. As for the Pelican crew boats, it is comfortable with huge seat with foot rest. Wifi available too!
