★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of best hiking ground. Just the right timing. 2 hours going upwards. A lot of roots and rocks. Going down has to be careful because of these. The peak has 360 view of the surrounding area. You can see Selat Melaka also. There are myth of Tapak kaki Hang Tuah (some say Hang Nadim) embedded in the rocks at the peak, the truth of this is unknown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ranger post open for permit fee of RM5 at 7:00am to 5:00pm. Pretty much the same for weekdays and weekends. Had to write your name info before and tick after the hike. The hike pretty much straightforward with steep slope initially and gradually reduced after checkpoint 1 about 20 mins from the entrance. Wear some gloves cause you will grabbing most of the trees, rocks while climbing. At the peak really windy and come early to avoid the crowds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome view after 2km hike for elevation gain around 650m from the peak of Gunung Datuk. You can catch the sunrise and sunset here if you reached the peak at the correct moment. The view is superb in a clear day and you might lucky to see some sea clouds if night before is pouring. It's also windy on top here and there are lots of bees or flying insects sometimes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hiking spot. A good trek for beginners. The view was surreal. Took roughly an hour to get to the peak and do be careful on your way down as some spot is quite steep
