Redang Bay Resort

Lovely place to relax and enjoy your day away from home. The resort is very well equipped with a relaxing atmosphere. The residents are friendly and welcoming us with information about the activities and events of the resort. For our next visit we will stay in the lovely resort.

Rooms and environment were okay. My main complain would be the service here. First day arrived to check-in, we had to wait almost an hour for the housekeeping to prepare the room. And there is also lack of proper communication from the staff to the guests as to what time we were supposed to check-out. Standard hotel time for check-out would usually be 12pm but we were surprised when they came knocking on our door and informed us at a sudden last minute that we were supposed to check-out at 9:30am instead. Food at the cafeteria here is not bad but its below expectations. Buffet serving is currently not available as its still banned during the RMCO so all guests would have to wait for the staffs to serve your dishes at your tables. Lastly but not the least, the room wifi isn't working.

Friendly staff. The foods nice serve by staff tables to tables (MCO time). Snorkeling staff friendly and helpful. The room clean and good AC. The WiFi connection was slow. Lastly thanks to Siti from Sales team Redang Bay Resort Travel & Tours. She helpful and good follow up.

Great shout out the to Snorkeling instructor Uncle Foo, friendly and guiding us when we approach for better snorkeling experience. The resort was spacious and many common area to hang around if you find the room is not that relaxing. Staff are friendly, helpful and talkative specially the canteen aunty.

Resort run by chinese so food is Chinese style but halal... has a bar... meals included in packages ... very organized and good service Pros Cheap price , Good food , one of the few resort that has a bar and band Cons rooms are basic and hot water is luke warm... no sea view rooms ...

The bad: The photos didn't do the place justice. The triple-bed rooms are old and they smell weird. The pillow cases, bedsheets and blankets smell weird as well. Throughout my three-day stay in here, I've encountered red ants on the beds and toilet, a cockroach and a baby lizard. Repainting the place is not enough; please renovate them too. When you have pests invading your room, it's a sign of building decay or poor environment sanitisation. The food sold in the cafe is sad. I don't know how many times the chicken nuggets have been fried to the point that they no longer taste like chicken nugget. The food are quite pricey too. For a "meh" cheese burger with a few sad chicken nuggets and some fries at MYR15+, it isn't worth the price I paid for. The management and other departments of the resort seemed to be not in sync with their information regarding certain services. The reception said we need to pay MYR30 for EACH ROUND PER PERSON of paddle boarding, while the staffs at the renting department said that the payment is just one-off for the group and sharing among the our own group is allowed. Not sure if they're just clueless or they're trying to take advantage of us. As for item renting such as jug kettle, they made a mistake of recording down my room number, by inserting other room number as mine. Fortunately it's been solved and I got my MYR50 deposit back. Such inconvenience wouldn't have happened if mistakes weren't made. The good: The room rates are quite worth the price I paid for, as it is inclusive of ferry fees, etc. The environment of the resort is nice in general. The location is also strategic as it faces the scenic view of the Redang beach. You can sit at the resort's common area and view the beach as you eat, drink and talk with your friends and family. It is also close enough to just get out of your room and walk straight to the beach. The staffs are nice and helpful in general. They're very patient in dealing with the demands and antics of the customers. You can try chatting with the staffs (especially those who bring you out for snorkeling, scuba diving, etc.) and they'll probably share some stories and experiences with you. Overall, the resort's okay but it could've been better.

Took the promotional package during RMCO, costing only rm388 per pax, full board, including ferry from Shahbandar Jetty. The place is chinese owned, the room is large with 2 Queen beds. The water supply at the bathroom is plenty, enough to wash our clothes after each snorkeling session. However, I am giving 3 stars only as the food served is not nice, at one dinner, the ayam masak kicap tasted horrible. Breakfast was simple, and coffee was low class. If only this resort has better cook.

frequent disconnection of power. PIC inform us to flip the switch on our own during middle of the night. bad food and services at canteen. the family room is real basic and and some musty smell bed sheet and shabby bathroom. never go back this motel again.
