Checked in Sept 2008. Cosy clean room with good food. Redang always great location for snorkeling. Clear water and live coral. Memorable stay.

They offered ala carte meal through 3 days 2 nights stay. Which i prefer if they still offer a buffet meals. They had a playroom where they put congkak and few others games but it was dirty and felt really really old. The toilet in D-3 room was clogged. We have to wait for awhile for the next person to shower. But the service was nice. Friendly staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there with my family. Although fully booked, the staff managed to organise the events for the guests efficiently. Food is generally good. Unlike my previous visits, food is now scheduled according to meals. Breakfast closed at 9 am. Guests no longer allowed to go to the canteen freely. There are 2 snorkeling trips everyday. But after so many trips there, I realised that the corals near the resort is much better than the snorkeling trips. Except for the trip to Turtle Bay, where you can mingle with the turtles there. These turtles have gotten used to humans giving them food and will not venture away from the area. Normally you will need to buy some squids to lure the turtles to you. If you don't have any, just go near those who have them. But make sure you do not touch or hold the turtles. The drawback of all these human activities is the carelessness of the visitors. Especially the corals near the resort. There are no controls or signage to inform visitors not to touch or step on the corals. I have personally observed visitors stepping on the corals and breaking them in the process. I wished the resort operators there do make an effort to prevent this from happening.

This place really exceeded my expectations! The price was affordable, but the rooms are new and clean. The standard was actually higher than that of a 4 star (!) hotel on Land Tengah, another island nearby. The general vibe at Pelangi is very beachy and relaxed, with the staff being extremely helpful and kind. Both my husband and I are vegan, so I wanted to make sure the resort knows what it means, and that we will not be hungry. I was assured that they can make us something basic prior to arrival (fully expected rice and veggies for 4 days), yet the food was much more than basic! Sweet and sour mock meats, noodles and such. I will stay here next time I come to Redang. There are also some amazing reefs teeming with wildlife for snorkelling just by the hotel. Fantastic stay from start to finish that did not break the bank.

With the endemic SOP, you're not really required to mask (but we did anyway) but dining is pretty limited to your three main meals at the resort dining areas where meals are prepared and served based on the predetermined menu (some meals like breakfast, you get to choose). Also, best to bring your own snorkeling gear but it's available for rent too (they sanitize it). The location is right smack on long beach side of Redang. The water is pristine. Rooms, there's two types, old building (wooden) and new building (brick and mortar). We stayed in the old building. It serves its purpose as a place to sleep at night and during downtime unless of course you spend it at the beach.

Would come back here again for my dive trip. Pleasant stay, theyโ€™ve recently renovated in 2021 hence the rooms are relatively new and well kept. Best part of the deluxe room is the dehumidifier ?

This resort offers everything you could ever need. We rented the basic room. The bed doesnโ€™t have a headboard. The bathroom has water stains. The curtains stayed closed to keep the room cool. Itโ€™s bare bones. But why stay inside when everything is outside? Plenty of shady spots for gazing at the ocean. Dive and snorkeling trips two times a day. A staff that will quickly accommodate your every need. The staff arranged an emergency medical boat for a very reasonable price right away when my friend needed a hospital. They also arranged a boat for me to visit a nearby island for a quarter of the price a different hotel quoted. The vegetarian food was varied and delicious and included protein in most every meal. They offer coffee and tea but if you want the fancy latte or cold beer or flaky pastry you can buy from their cafe.
