The portions are so small now. Appetizers, Mains and Desert still left me hungry.
Food nothing special. Suppose to be French.
It seems you're in survival mode.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding pre fixe lunch for the price. Where other upscale places in touristy areas inflate their prices for mediocre dressed up food, Lafite provides fair prices for balanced, elegant, exquisite dishes. My girlfriend and I loved everything we had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve always liked Lafite’s menu. I’ve been there many times as my office used to be across the road. It’s fine dining and when you’re in the restaurant, you feel the ambience of “fine dining”. I was there for lunch and was quite shocked that we were the ONLY table. I think it is because the set lunch is quite pricey.
I also don’t quite understand the strategy of the pricing (perhaps management can explain). The two course option is RM98 while the three-course option is RM148. I would imagine that once customers walk in, you will want to entice customers to go for the three course option by pricing the third course slightly higher such that the three course option would amount to RM128 or RM138. Then customers would be seduced to have the dessert because it’s only slightly more expensive - customers will think it’s good value for money.
Hence, I am forced to conclude that the management is thinking that the first two courses are so petite that customers are forced to have the desserts to fill their stomachs! So why not price the dessert as expensively as the appertiser and the main.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! Classic fine dining.. absolutely delicious- i tried their truffle menu and it was just perfect. Service attentive and a great wine list... unfortunately they were not busy and although the restaurant is building up the years.. to me this restaurant is a grande dame
