β β β β β Very good nyonya food. Had their lunch sets and everything very well made. It was full even on a Monday lunch, so important to make a reservation. They are also shorthanded, so we waited more than 30 mins for set lunch

If you are looking for a Nyonya restaurant with nice ambiance, Richard Rivalee Nyonya Cuisine should be up on that list of choice for you. Worth to try.

β β β β β Had lunch with my family at this restaurant. Saw it being recommended by one of the famous "Ah Xian" , therefore decided to give it a try.
As it was Sunday, the slots are fully booked and we were lucky to have booked the 1.30pm slot. Its quite easy to find and you can park and the roadside and take a small walk to reach the restaurant.
The atmosphere is very Nyonya authentic. With nyonya arts and crafts decorating it's walls and a traditional woodcraft door . It's truly a place full of the baba nyonya tradition.
The service was excellent and the waiters attended quite fast and was very polite to our requests. There are even rooms where its seperated for more privacy but that has to be prebooked in advance.
The chicken pongteh is quite unique with the taste of soy bean paste and spices. The chicken meat is tender and its accompanied with soft mushy potatoes. The asam prawn ? does seem to be a bit pricy with RM40+ for 5 shrimp. Would ? opt for other options. The lemongrass fried chicken is really delicious with bits of lemongrass still visible on its crunchy crust. The portions are just quite right for an average family and most dishes ranging from RM30-40. The Laksa is totally different from the Asam version ? we have at local stalls and it has a yellow soup based with spices and leaves for its distinguish aroma. The jicama fries cuttlefish will be a family favourite and it has quite a nice taste despite its slightly small portion. The acard fish is more unique and its recommend to try by locals and tourists. It's like pickled fish in vinegar and sugar with tumeric and it has a sweet and sour taste. This dish is served in just room temperature not hot, so for those wanting to try out this dish, this is just a small note to remember.
Overall quite a great restaurant and one of the exquisite nyonya restaurants in Georgetown, Penang.

β β β β β Giving five stars as the overall experience was great. Brought my mom here and we ordered a few dishes, the portions are adequate for two and the taste is good too. Other than that, you can get some instagrammable shots here as the decorations and surrounding are painted well.
