β β β β β Booked a cake via Grab on Day 1 for it to be delivered on Day 2 (12 pm). On Day 2 at 11.30 am, they called telling me that the cake I booked is out of stock and asked me to change to another cake (I was told there is only 1 cake left, Hokkaido Cheese which a no no to me) or just cancel the order.
Thanks for the VERY LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION, Secret Recipe Queensbay Mall. And above all, thanks for RUINING A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY CAKE DELIVERY PLAN for one dear family member of mine.

β β β β β I used to be a huge fan of your lovely cakes, but not anymore.. simply because I do not encourage racism or anyone who allows it. I stayed in the line for almost 20 - 30 mins and the employee who was on duty (Syahzani) allowed other Malay people who was behind us to go in first because we were the only people who couldnβt understand Malay and who are not local. To make it clear, I do not have anything against Malay people, but this girl simply lied saying they came first and earlier than me, when I have been there when no one else was and when I asked why I was asked to leave if I cannot wait. I LOVED YOUR CAKES, but sorry I cannot take stand RACIST PEOPLE OR ACTS. Time to boycott secret recipe and itβs racists acts.

β β β β β The employee sound rude, i came at around 10am but was declined to lineup the tomboy short hair girl ask me to go away and come back 10.30 without saying sorry. Google stated 10am opens??ββοΈ Mannerless. Secret Recepi PLEASEEEE TRAIN YOUR STAFF ON HOW TO SERVE CUSTOMERS

β β β β β One of the worst customer service experiences I ever had. Went there at around 8:30 pm on 27th March for dinner. Not many customers were in there, yet no one came to seat us. We then headed to the cashier counter to make our order but the staff were all occupied, some were packing orders but others were just talking among themselves. I said hello but got no response so we decided to take a seat until they were free to serve us. Sat for 5 minutes and yet no one came to us. A waitress was busy at the register for a long time while there was another folding boxes. We motioned to the one folding boxes to give us the menu and she seemed to notice us. She motioned back to us to wait awhile and she then asked another waitress to hand us the menu. Not sure if she got the message because it seems like the other waitress just ignored her and went to the back. After a while longer, we could not wait anymore and left.

β β β β β One of many Secret Recipe outlet in Malaysia. I think this is the most consistent and above average franchise in malaysia, price also slightly more expensive. Love their seafood medley spaghetti and chocolate brulee.

β β β β β I have been a fan of Secret Recipe for decades and I was kinda surprised to see low ratings for this particular outlet with bad comments on customer service.
Well, the cakes are still as good as ever and as for the customer service, when I visited this place yesterday, I don't have any bad or negative experience. In fact I saw an elderly couple who is probably not Malaysian and they were having problems to order but the staff was still patient to explain and reconfirm the order. After that when I ordered, I just waited a while only as well for the staff to prepare.
The place seems to be renovated already and looks nice and cosy but probably not suitable for large group of people to eat and gather. But if you are a family of 4 or less then looks ok to dine in here at this place.
Again, the cakes are all still as delicious as ever.
