One of the top tier japanese restaurant I would recommend my friends to try.
Serves one of the most unique pork don here in malaysia
Although the price is slightly expensive.
But the portion is massive.
The food quality still superb.
Environment is like a ε±

But with aircon , and the aircon is freezing.
Only downside is they removed my favourite cold soba from the menu.
And most of the time the uni is unavailable.
Do call to make reservation before visiting it.

β β β β β Senya Izakaya is a long time establishment Japanese bar restaurant. They serve a pretty standard fresh sashimi surprisingly with a midrange price. But the star of their dish is and always the Hokkaido Buta Don. Smokey, sweet and juicy as you chew along with its pearl rice. Add in tamago onsen and the dish will be so much creamier. So good that I will come back just for lunch to order a small bowl! And itβs only RM15-18. Another dish worth mentioning is their agedashi tofu ! Simple flavor and not too overpowering dashi just like the ones in Japan. Tofu was soft on the inside and light crispy on the outside. The only disappointment was their sushi rolls especially their unagi roll. The unagi meat proportion to the rice was 1:2. It felt like I was stuffing myself with rice and there was no sweet juiciness from the unagi as it was dry. However, this Izakaya is still one of the top on the Izakaya list in KL if you want to try Japanese bar food.

β β β β β Ambience: Japanese interior with plenty of seatings, peak hours do need to wait and the turnover rate usually quite fast.
Service: attentive and friendly
Food: came here for the buta rice bowl which was my favourite shop to go for if youβre looking for a decent portion of meat, great price and great taste. Other dishes like sashimi was also fresh, skewers werenβt much options but was also average to me.

β β β β β First time try their Tokyo pork Don and it is surprising. The portion is as big as the picture they shown. Taste is good . Service is fast and attentive. My friends who also first time are happy too with the food portion and taste. Price is medium high, but that is fine as at least the food is exactly like the picture shown. Not like those cheating MCD with big burger shown but come with size smaller than my fist.

β β β β β One of my favourite Japanese restaurant in town. Senya izakaya is famous for their Hokkaido pork don. The pork is Juicy and marinated well. Now there is even a Hokkaido pork and salmon combo. Yum
Sushi here is delicious too.
Its always long queue here. Booking is recommended prior your visit.
There is a tatami sitting area too.

β β β β β This restaurant is famous for Hokkaido pork don, it is very delicious. If can use better Japanese rice, the Don will be perfect!
But those fried appetizer are so so. The fried prawn is so oily, the fried salmon skin is oily and soggy. Fried ? is ok. Fried chicken is OK.
The bad thing is, it is so so smoky and smelly inside the restaurant
