★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apparently one of the popular hot pot areas in town. The Mala soup personally I feel is just chili oil but maybe it’s personal preference. Pork soup and collagen soup is not bad but they probably use a lot of MSG. Ingredients used are fresh and the menu have good variety for you to choose from. Presentation wise is also very pretty.
They have a sauce station for you to make your own sauce at no extra charge. Service is friendly although can be a tad slow

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wish I had known about this branch sooner! In terms of cleanliness, this branch is a lot better and nicer than the one in Velocity. A lot more comfortable and not as stuffy too! The staff are attentive and efficient at serving. The portion and meat cuts are very nicely done. This was a good deal for lunch due to the 20% discount offered, and upon checkout, you get some cash vouchers which you can use on your next visit (with no minimum spendings). Looking forward to coming back to this branch again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tomato soup more taste like Maggie tomato ketchup sauce, the collagen more taste like normal clear soup. The ma la soup ordered less spicy but very spicy after taste. 毛肚 texture is hard even blanch for seconds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is only in the past few years that Chinese-style hotpot like this started gaining popularity in Malaysia. These days, there are so many hotpot restaurants in every corners of Klang Valley one is literally spoiled for choice. Even here in the small community of Desa Parkcity, at least half a dozen similar-themed restaurants opened up within the past year or so. Some of which are branches of established brands from Mainland China. Whether they are truly authentic, however, is debatable.
We have had the real deal during our travels in China and if we may say so, Shuguo's version would pass even those with the most discerning tastes. Yes. They are THAT good. My siblings are picky eaters but our aging parents are worse - they are notoriously critical. It is on the rarest occasion that our votes are unanimous. But on this very night, we had consensus - it was two thumbs up across the table. Hallelujah!
There are 5 types of soup base. We went with Mala, Pork Bone, and Beauty Collagen (I swear that is the real name) - all addictively delicious but my personal favorite was the Beauty Collagen. As for a la carte dishes, the Mala Crayfish was definitely the star that night. They were fresh and sweet, even when infused with lots of spices.
Shuguo gets extremely busy during weekends. If you intend to come for dinner, best make it early otherwise the wait could be long - 45min to 1.5hours. Do note also that there is a 2-hour dining limit. Check with the Captain whether time extension is permitted, especially if you intend to order a lot of food. This is advisable as even for reasonably fast eaters like us, we found it challenging to finish all our food within the allotted time (Yes, we ordered a lot). Afterall, good food is meant to be enjoyed slowly. Agree?
And finally on pricing...if you have a habit of paying by cash, prepare lots of it because you will need it. Budget between MYR80-MYR100 per person and you should be safe. Otherwise, have a credit card in hand for just in case.

Those meat and beef we ordered, you can feel like eating ton of marinated powder. Hmmm might not visit 2nd time. The flower tea is good??
