β β β β β ***[Metal slice from metal washing sponge in the food]***
Visited Shunka @ Alma on 31/12/2020.
One of our food, Tonkatsu Ramen found to have metal slice which suspect came from metal washing sponge. We called the waiter, his immediate first response make me think they do acknowledge this foreign item (personal guess is it happened before). The waiter offered a new Tonkatsu Ramen, but to be honest, we have lost appetite to continue eating since we been answered the metal slice was from metal washing sponge!! We told the waiter no need to replace the ramen. After a while, the waiter informed there will be 10% discount on bill and they also offered a kimchi snack.
I had requested the Tonkatsu Ramen to be excluded from the bill instead of 10% discount since we didn't actually ate much of it. However, my request was rejected. Judging from the crew available, seem like they unable to make decision on behalf on Shunka @ Alma, I chose not to waste more time and agreed to take their offered, 10% discount on bill.
My opinion to Shunka @ Alma, please consider a better and considerable protocol if this kind of case happened. We are fortune enough to detect the foreign metal slice at chewing stage! What if we did swallow the metal slice??! Does the current solution, 10% on bill give sufficient compensate to the customer?? Is this a proper way?
Although the food and service wasn't bad, but the hygiene DOES STOP US from visit Shunka in the future (particularly, the Alma branch).

β β β β β Restaurant ambience is quite good with Japanese mural on the side walls. Quick and friendly service. The staff followed all the SOPs and they have the correct safe distancing between tables.There is a wide selection of dishes in the menu. You can order by using the QR code apart from the usual menu book. Food is good but certain dishes can be pricy. Many varieties of sake wines but prices can be a bit high.

β β β β β Had the best experience here ever. After a depressing day at work, coming here for dinner is just the best. Nice environment, good food, great services and best of all... they play the BEST Japanese songs, especially songs by Mai Mizuhashi. ζι«γ§γ
