I have already taken up 60 classes with Yvonne since end 2019 and I must say, whatever she has taught me was really an eye opener. I have flat feet and due to this, I have compensated so much in the way I walk or move around that I developed scoliosis. I started to be very active in tennis some 8-9 years back and the fact that my posture and alignment were all out, I also developed knee problems + lower back aches. For her lessons, she went back to the basics and to something as simple as sitting, walking, holding items, etc. I realized how off balance, hunched posture & and that my right shoulder practically drops down. Through her, I learned the little adjustments to make to maintain center balance, and how to use the right muscles to land weight on feet and to provide the "lift". It's a long journey indeed and for habits which I have been used to for the past 40+ years of my life, do not expect miracles to as a lot of the changes rely on your own discipline & awareness. And she is there to help correct the misalignments & help you feel the sense of what is the right balance. There were so many 'ahah" moments which I thought I was absolutely centered, only to be shown through photos which she will regularly take, how lopsided I was. At least now, when I walk, I no longer feel like I am 'floating' or drifting off course. My lower back aches have reduced a fair bit and posture improved. I will still be continuing my lessons with her as long as I could - it's a journey.

I have attended 35 sessions with Yvonne and each session was one hour plus. Yvonne is super observant, she can tell the tiniest misalignment I was doing. For example, she can tell if I am using the muscle around my eyes properly. (You will wonder how does eye muscle has to do with posture right! She will teach you.) Therefore she could correct my posture. She is very strict also. That create an awareness in me even when she's not around. In her session, I stand on foot for the whole time with minimal feet movement. However I don't feel any strain at all as I was using my body in alignment with her guidance. Before the sessions, I wasn't aware of all the misalignment and wrong way of using my body. After attending her class, my muscles are activated and now I can feel them engaging in my movement, especially my core and my inner thigh. I can now tell if my muscles are supporting from the bottom up to my head. My movement is no longer wobbly and compensating, it is much more stable. . My knee wasn't locked anymore. My elbow moves and opens more freely. My shoulder does not bulge and no longer slough, it is more even now. My rib cage no longer protruded. I gain the feeling of center. I learned the system of movement of my body. I also becoming aware of how I unconsciously compress my left side core and hence unable to support it properly, resulting in the uneven shoulder. I also becoming aware of how I may be stressing too much on certain tiny muscles and now I need to relax more and be grounded at core. I plan to continue to take long term lesson with her. As I notice also I slowly go back to old habits because it is too easy to stay in comfort zone! Four stars is because she is too strict, you must follow her instructions fully and it's hard for me because I like to explore.

I joined Signature Pilates for a 10 hours class. It was one of those eye-opener moment that I am fortunate to have that made me able to understand my body better. The 10 hrs class have taught me the basic I need to be put into practice not only in physical exercise but also daily house chores. 10 hrs sessions was definitely not enough to feel the wholesomeness from Signature Pilates. But, it was surely a good start and I would recommend this to everyone whom looking for different perspective in learning the strength of your core body. I would join for the next stage when the time and moment from my side allow me. Thanks for everything Yvonne!

I took lessons twice a week with Yvonne. Each sessions was design specifically to fit my body. I had chronic pain with my shoulder and neck, after a few sessions I definitely felt a reduction in pain. I also see a improvement in my overall posture. Yvonne is very knowledgable and a wonderful teacher. Thank you Yvonne!

It marked my first 25 hours with Yvonne, I’ve seen some improvement on myself mainly my shoulder, body posture and varicose veins. Pain reduction from my neck to shoulder. Better blood circulation on my feet. There is no miracle but it is through the commitment and enthusiasm that Yvonne has spent so much of time to correct my posture, alignment etc, and kept reminding me to apply these new habits in my daily life. My classes conducted either in English, Mandarin or Cantonese. I would not hesitate to recommend Yvonne, the Signature Pilates Studio to anyone who look for new balance. #pilates #subangjaya

I signed up Yvonne's class half a year ago, as I was looking for a form of exercise for myself to stay more active. After joining the class, I turned out to gain more than I've expected. With Yvonne's guidance, I learned how to use my body in correct postures, and thus reducing so much of the pain I've always experienced in my daily life. Yvonne always find various approaches to convey knowledge and information. With her guidance I've accomplished much more than I first expected. 100% recommended.

Have been attending classes for almost 2 years. Yvonne is really caring and does her best to tend to personal needs. Used to have frequent cramps and sore shoulders - but they were eventually reduced and now barely happening anymore! Love the flexibility of the classes and how they have improved my health subtly but efficiently.
