★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Church. Would highly recommend you to visit this Church.
Thank you Fr. Lionel for maintaining the Traditional structures (I.e. : High Altars, Side Altars, Altar rails, Confessional box, etc). God bless you, Fr.
Anyways, the person who takes care of this Church, seems to be very rude. I hope Fr speaks to him about this matter. I'm worried that he'll give a bad impression of Catholicism.
Nevertheless, I will still give 5 stars for this Church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the tours start from this church. This is a little away from the main Malacca Square where all other heritage buildings are located. The church is supposedly the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Malacca. There is a huge bell in the clock tower which was bought there all the way from Goa. The church has a lot of Stain glass paintings and beautiful interiors. A must visit when one is in Melacca.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attended sunset mass on 26th of Feb.
The priest was acting like it was his concert/private show. He even played a worldly song from his phone that’s not a hymn in the middle of his sermon.
He goes off script so many times. Never in my life have I ever seen a priest conduct a mass like that and I have been around the world in many churches since young.
He was even talking about removing the splinter from one’s own eye before judging others but proceeded to put down the wardens in front of the whole congregation during his sermon by saying, “follow them, don’t just stand there like dolls” in a harsh tone.
He’s a very vain priest. So self indulged. He’s not god he should remember. He knew the congregation would follow him and he did all sorts of really funny things. He even praised himself for having to do a lot of things because there was no choir that day. He was glorifying himself for serving. He forgot that being the leader or being first means always being the last and any good deed shouldn’t be paraded if it’s sincere, as mentioned in the bible. I wish I recorded it.
The priest really should be investigated.
