There were too many people at one slot for dinner and customer service was a little bit disappointing as chefs and floor staffs were too busy to care well, even though the floor manager was attentive. We were sitting at the end of the row and the food wasn’t served in time. I could tell chefs were in a rush so it was difficult to be told what every single dish is. kazu course was generous enough to be full but it was a bit heavy in general for me. And I believe the plating can be improved. Maybe I put my expectations too high after reading those great reviews.

I wanted a more casual omakase experience and found Sushi Kazu. I agree with what the others have said here and it was a pleasant experience. The floor staff was incredibly attentive and helpful and the food was delicious! Though the counter seats were full and both chefs were serving large groups of people, the servings were well-timed. Definitely a hidden gem and I would highly recommend this place.

It was our second visit and indeed a wonderful experience. The food was so fresh especially the oysters and baby bluefin tuna! One of the best Omakase in Malaysia and I’ll definitely be back again.

One of the best omakase experiences locally. We had the Umi set and it was a joy to be served by Chef Shibata who kindly explained the dishes in both Japanese and English. As expected, seafood was fresh and Shibata-san even checked with us to ensure we were full enough at the end haha. Service too was commendable, as the staff were attentive to when to clear the table or refill our drinks. Overall a pretty great meal, definitely recommend!

Food was good but not stellar. We've definitely had better at other places in town but their excellent service makes up for it. The service staff were extremely attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant manager was also very friendly while the chef who served us did a great job at explaining the dishes to us and was also very attentive. He noticed that we didn't consume much wasabi early on in the meal so he reduced the amount he used in our sushi, and also checked with us if we were okay with it. Overall, we had a good experience and hope to return in the future.

Food was fresh and of high quality. Staffs were attentive and very friendly. Was here for their Valentine's set. Minor things to improve here and there mainly the interaction of head chef and counter guests. But I'd attribute the lack of interaction to the high number of guests that day. Portion and food size were around 10-15% smaller in comparison to similar omakase meals I've had. Still, a great place with a calming ambience. Will recommend.

The first sushi omakase I tried in kl before sushi azabu. Overall I prefer kazu than azabu. The quality of the seafood is better, more fresh and the taste profile is well balanced. Before covid, they used to have lunch set which was less than 150 bucks and i don think you can get that price anywhere now for a omakase. It started with a salad and appetiser. The experience was amazing as chef kazu carefully prepared and served nigiri sushi one after another (total of 8 pieces) to tickle my taste bud. Each and every piece was a masterpiece as the chef brought you on a journey. The mini seafood bowl burst with flavours and other each bite. Maki sushi surprised me the most because the taste was robust even though it looked like just a roll. Miso soup was amazing with the seafood taste (one of the best I have had) and finally it ended perfectly with dessert yuzu ice cream (I just love yuzu and how often do you see ice cream with yuzu flavour).
