TAd Marine Resort

Visited this place 2 years ago. Secluded and quiet. Great place for an escape. Room is clean, comfortable and spacious. Food too are great and delicious. I was made to understand one of the cook used to cook for royals. Friendly staff they even invited us to join a gathering at next village at one night. Overall great experience!

This has been the worst resort I have ever stayed and believe me, I have travelled a lot. We were informed the water was limited due to lack of rain in the last year but even during the appointed hours there was no water. However the worst thing is the bed bugs and sand fleas. On the second day some in our party were suddenly covered with sand flea bites so we thought that was the problem but when we returned the bites increased and it turned out we brought home bed bugs. ARGHHHH!!!! What a nightmare. Then the food: wow, this is bad. A tasteless buffet and at breakfast not even fruit. Also on our first day we overslept for the breakfast and when we asked for some food between breakfast and lunch - off course willing to pay for it - the kitchen did not want to make anything for us. Can you imagine a hotel or resort where it is impossible to get anything to eat? Well that is the TAd Marine Resort. And then when you get something, it is really bad. So after our fruitless search for food on the resort we returned to our room to find our rooms still a mess. When leaving for the snorkeling trip at 14.30 the room was still not cleaned and upon our return still not. Before dinner I went to the reception to report this and kindly asked if they would clean the room or at least bring us some toiletpaper and clean towels. Upon return there were 2 new rolls of toiletpaper. And that was it. Really???? So after the water trouble, the food issue (not being able to get anything to eat until 12 AM) and no room cleaning, when we finally requested a really normal thing (and we did not complain!) for the rooms to be cleaned during dinner we only got two rolls of toiletpaper..... I kid you not! And the horror was not over. After the insect nightmares, the food disaster and water problems there was no beach anymore as the sea washed the beach away. We were informed the november sea would bring back the sand. As if I would ever want to return here.... We had booked a 3 night stay but when we decided we wanted to return home to Singapore 1 day early (mostly because of our really bad experience) and asked for the times the boat would depart for the mainland we were given 2 departure times and booked the 11 AM boat. We informed the hired driver and car to pick us up based on the given time. Upon departure it turned out there was no 11 AM boat. There was supposed to be a 11.30 boat but even that boat did not depart at that time. We finally arrived 1,5 hours later at the ferry terminal than supposed to and had to pay our driver extra waiting time which off course was not compensated by the hotel. I have never ever experienced such a bad resort and so little effort to make things right. Oops, I said little effort... I meant none!

Great Resort experience. Best management and friendliest staffs that brighten my days with their greeting and smiles. LOVE TAd and LIKE TAd. All the Staffs were very very friendly. Right from the start at the jetty to checking in at reception, eating at restaurant, snorkeling trips and jungle trekking to checking out they never fail to show their hospitality. After snorkeling, the staff that brought us out to sea detoured and brought us to his Kampung (Village) in another jetty of P. Tinggi. He used a pole attached with a knife to cut the coconut and treated us coconut drink outside his outside. SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! :) This great stay also comes with delicious food for all meals by a very friendly Chef. Clear blue unpolluted turquoise beach. Rooms aren't far from the beach and they are clean and come with basic necessities. Friendly and responsive staff when booking the accommodation directly. I got the 3D2N full board package which include 1 snorkeling trip and 1 Jungle trekking to a water fall nearby. Swimming Pool is lovely and facing the sea. Warm jacuzzi, wonder if it is a heated jacuzzi pool. Overall, I would have given 6/5 stars if possible.

I gave it 3 stars because it's a resort and they don't have umbrellas for guests during rain. And the restaurant manager wasn't that friendly and don't feel like serving guests. Makes if difficult for guests to get to dining hall. All else: 1. Food is excellent. Kudos to the chef. Buffet spread was good. Serves quality and tasty food 2. Staff is friendly and tries to make your stay excellent 3. Rooms are big and comfortable. With hot water, working TV and air conditioning. 4. Sea facing chalets are just great. Open the door and windows, voila sea view. 5. Beach is relatively clean. Swim out a bit and you can see fishes and corals. Great for snorkeling and just to laze around or a dip. 6. Resort provides insect repellent from dispensers placed along the beach. Apply some or you'll get sandflies. 7. If you're lucky, you may be able to spot turtles laying eggs or dugongs

Too much sand fly and sand flea in whole of the resort. Really cannot imagine you only can sit in the room and out for snorkeling. People are here for vacation, hope can sit at the laying chair on the white beach, enjoy a glass of chill beer, listen the sound of the wave, to watch the peaceful blue crystal sea. Due to the sand fly and sand flea were out of control, all become fat hope. Swimming pool side also facing the same problem. Really disappointed !

Think twice if you want to stay in this resort. We booked total 5 rooms and all the rooms had bed bug issue, really bad. Also there was no water in the room most of the time, food was very limited, beach full of black oil, snorkeling trip cant even saw a fish. Really not worth the price and not recommended to all. The worst resort in Johor! BTW, one woman (manager?) is very kind and helpful.

Beautiful resort with nice beach view. Best place to chill and relax. Not much activities but suitable for people to getaway from busy town areas. #Beware of sand flies and remember to apply insect repellent prepared by the staff at reception area.

There's no water in our room. Food was very limited, because it's a buffet so if you're late there is not much food for you. There's a lot of sand fly near the beach, you have to constantly spray bug repellent that they provided. Apart from those, the island is genuinely great very peaceful and with a great view. Not much activity to do over there, so if you're looking for a peaceful getaway this is the place for you.
