★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had severe pain on my right knee. The orthopaedic surgeon diagnosed it as osteoarthritis and recommended surgery. I decided to seek physiotherapy and went to one in Hartamas, 18 sessions of just using a machine to stimulate the nerves for healing. Imagine the money wasted when the pain did not go away.
I decided to give physio another go and visited Taipan Physiotherapy. What a change of methodology. YEN, the physiotherapist explained that manual treatments are emphasized more than mechanical treatments here. YEN is really patient and also a professional practitioner. During treatments, I have learned terms from her like 'meniscus tear, inner thigh adductor, patellar, hamstring tendon linking connector' and more which helped me better understand my injury.
Here, machines are only used at the end of the 1 hour and 15 minutes sessions to stimulate the nerves. At the start of sessions, she uses her hands and elbow for manual releases of
the injured area, followed by manual stretches, manual and gym equipment strengthening exercises, ultrasound and completing with a hot pack.
After 14 sessions, a supposedly for surgery osteoarthritis has healed completely with no more pain. The senior physiotherapist in charge, GAN has also assisted somewhat in my healing.
The four therapists here are all young but don't let their youth fool you. When deciding on physiotherapy treatments, personal perseverance and commitment are needed for the healing process to take place. I was patient with the first center in Hartamas but after 18 treatments with 'promises' and yet not healed was a disappointment. Taipan Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation really saved the knee and this center is strongly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The physiotherapist was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. Felt very safe while the session was going on and he was very gentle. Immediate pain relief over my knee after the session ended. Highly recommended!

Price wise, they're very affordable. Mr Gan knows his stuff. He takes his time before to check properly before making a diagnosis. What impressed me the most was the courtesy and professionalism.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my dad here after he told me he is experiencing back pain and not getting better despite some tcm treatment. From my personal experience, physio plays a big roll in recovery. So decided to bring my dad here. Gan was very helpful and provide good explaination. Like that they focus in providing the right solution, instead of thinking how to sell you more packages. Keep up the good work!
