I heard that it is famous and I came! I heard that there are so many tourists, so I arrived at the site early! When I used Grab, it was dropped off at the place below and I walked a lot! The gate isn't open yet, and it's back and forth! It's a large temple! But it was the correct answer to come! It was a very nice temple and I enjoyed looking around! I called Grab on the way back, but even after waiting for tens of minutes due to heavy traffic, the position of the car did not change, and after a long walk, I called Grab again and finally I was able to get in the car! You should go first thing in the morning and come back before 10 o'clock!

If you're traveling to penang, you definitively need to visit Kek Lok Si! Going through the temple you will found the amazing workmanship! Around Chinese New Year (usually in February) , you can see the lighting at night, and it is so amazing and gorgeous! A must visit place in Penang. Highly recommended!

Lovely temple above the hilltop of Ayer Itam. Plenty of local food nearby. The Buddhist temple was also known as Fairyland of Lights due to its amazing lights display during Chinese Lunar New Year. Must visit.

I was told that this was one of the largest and oldest Buddhist temples in the region. Highlights: - very spacious and big temple - beautiful sights inside and outside - very peaceful atmosphere - has a lot of monuments and statues to offer. - large gift shop. - has a lift to the higher levels. - can easily take a whole day to explore. Low lights: - a little far from town - has a very strong smell - lots of long stairs - lack of wheelchair accessibility.

Visited the famous brass guan yin statue after many years , it was serene and blissful ✨ I passed my the tortoise lake which is full of large tortoises and you can fed them with lettuce which cost RM2 each plastic bag . I took the cable car up and down the hill , which cost RM16 per person . Pretty worth it because the hill is tiring to be climbed and the cable car was air conditioned and smooth . Reached the top and walked it and there was Guan yin looking so beautiful and peaceful . Just looking at her took my sorrows away . They sell joysticks , ribbons and even candles that can be bought and put for her . The view from above the hill is outstanding , you will get an overall view of Penang island and for me overall it was definitely ?? Everyone should visit this place atleast once because not only is it peaceful , the payments made for cable car are all directed to temple funds so let’s do our part ?
