β β β β β Room provided was 3006/3007. Said to be upgraded but room was average. Basic amenities. Iβm more disappointed the way the staffs handled us during breakfast at Charcoal rest. The moment we went in they told us tht breakfast was limited to only 45 minutes. We had a function at your Zamrud room the night before and as we are from Penang we wanted to catch up with our friends and relatives during breakfast.
The fried egg took us 15 minutes to arrive and most food at the buffet line was not replenished on time. We had to request for refilling many times. It took a while before it was refilled and how can we complete breakfast by 45 minutes.
The restaurant was not full and many tables were vacant too. When the time was due, the staffs immediately came to our table to clear all the items whereby the lady almost dropped my spectacles from the table as she was rushing to clear indirectly telling us to leave.
Iβve been to many hotels both locally and overseas, frankly this is the first time Iβve experienced this from said sadly a 5 star property.

β β β β β Nice place for a short break away. Room was nice n clean. Food was ok. Love the lake view. Really2 quiet n peaceful. You won't think that you are in a city. Other restaurants & mall are close by. Not forgetting subang airport a stone throw away.

β β β β β Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The room was comfortable. The staff is friendly and responsive. Swimming pool is well maintained. Charcoal restaurant was good. Tried their wagyu tenderloin which was good. Overall a nice experience.

β β β β β I've had a very bad experience with this hotel. Apparently, my room had some bed bugs as I had a major rash on my body after my stay. I got it confirmed from a doctor and then contacted the Hotel so they would take measurements and also asked for a compensation. It is not so much that they had bed bugs (this happens and is not necessarily a sign of uncleanliness). What bothered me is that I contacted their management several times. By email, by booking.com. 3 calls and I was always promised someone would get in touch with me but no one ever did. This is not what I expect from a 5-star hotel and reflect poorly on their image. Until today I don't know whether they ever did anything against the bed bugs...

β β β β β A great hotel surrounded by greenery and facilities to rejuvenate yourself. Nice restaurant and bars to be patronised. Had a chance to stay here for night with the family. Only had the club room and it was beautiful.Specious and luxurious.The bathtub was amazing.With club room I got free evening snacks and drinks.The experience was relaxing and amazing overall .

β β β β β Did not deserve a star at all. Room was dirty, full of mold. Ask for a room change, the receptionist was rude saying my room was already upgraded. He does not believe my word saying that the room is filthy. There was a used condom plastic on the carpet. There were water/ glass stained on the table surface. I'm sure they did not even wipe the surfaces and even change the bed sheets. ( So called COVID times). Worst experience ever. Always travel for business purposes (2-3x per month). The staff excuse was the hotel is old, but they really should learn from Majestic hotel. The word "maintenance" and "cleanliness" should be their focus and for that receptionist please go and see how The Ruma treat their guests.

β β β β β Came here for our two full day brainstorming meeting. This hotel is unique as it is away from the hustle and bustle in the city, filled with greens and peaceful lake view. A great place for team brainstorming session. My room was decent but there are few drawbacks, such as one of the coffee mugs was stained, and the rain shower was not functioning.

β β β β β What used to be a business hotel now serves mainly staycation and tourists due to the pandemic. The grounds may be dated but is well maintained and boasts a host of facilities for guests including large pool, gardens, several eateries and bars as well as games room and golf course. Services last month could do better, while the main staff were professional and courteous but they seem to face a worker shortage and a lot of menu items were not available, most of the alcohol menu were unavailable while selection of restaurants were not available. Breakfast buffet was still lovely otherwise. It was an enjoyable stay for the family as there were less people and they adhered to proper sops. But hopefully they would be able to return to full strength and service in their heydays. However it provides a tranquil and peaceful
