โ โ โ โ โ I coming for open water swimming course .
Not booked the room, but have my breakfast buffet there.
Actually from the outside the building was OK. But the multiple MCO make the facilities not maintained well.
Their breakfast was so-so.
The beaches so clean and beautiful. I love it.
They don't have outside playground, but I see duck cave near to the park. Entertain your younger one.

โ โ โ โ โ We had a pleasant 2 day stay. It was on weekdays of school holidays. No hiccups. The our room, the pool and beach were clean. We were the only customers at the restaurant in the evening. They served the same menu for room service. We had Oriental Crispy Chicken and Fish & Chip. They were quite good. It would be great if the lighting in the lift is brighter since this is a family resort. Felt like entering a karaoke room. ;)

โ โ โ โ โ Old 5 star hotel. The room is big but condition is old furniture and old bathroom. Easy free parking. Order food delivery must collect at the front road security guard.
Swimming pool is big n good for kids. Beach is easy walking distance with boats activities for hire.

โ โ โ โ โ The pool was great and the beach was nice, super spacious room BUT the toilet couldnโt flush and no matter how many times we called the technician to fix it, it kept breaking again so we had to keep the toilet lid open and flush from the inside. Plus, on the last day, the shower stopped working and when we tried to shower using the toilet faucet, for some reason, the water was BOILING hot so i had to stand and wait until the hot water finished. Thankfully checking out late wasnโt an issue. Oh and also, just so you know, we slept on the top floor and um, there was furniture being moved and marbles dropping on the floor above us the entire night ? thatโs when you know itโs an old hotel ?

โ โ โ โ โ 1. Very nice place to relax with your family.
2. Gracious, polite and helpful hotel employees.
3. Vey big swimming pool with various depths to cater for all.
4. Very good food for breakfast.
5. Big spacious room.
6. The only drawback is they have one lift for each wing, have to wait for the service during peak times.
7. The beach is beautiful.
8. Will definitely come back to stay.

โ โ โ โ โ Love the place accessible to beach. The kids will have a good time as there are swimming pools with slides. The hotel rooms need proper cleaning as the floors are not carpeted and has sand. Also has thin doors as the noise outside can be heard.The check in process was quick and easy.

โ โ โ โ โ Facility is a bit old but big enough and some of staff may not be well trained due to the long close down period. But, overall this hotel has plenty of activities which are the most valuable for our family since our kids are 5 and 7 years old. They enjoyed large size swimming pool, 2 types of water slider, sea fishing, wave riding for fun, horse riding, and DIY BBQ. Also, bath room is equipped with bath tab and hot water supply which is important for us.. Some people may expect more modern or elegant things, but we had wonderful days at Thistle PD especially for our kids.

โ โ โ โ โ Location and service was good, don't get me wrong on that. However, the rooms are absolutely old and the maintenance of those rooms were very bad. I can understand that they may not have enough staff, but the lack of maintenance such as fixing the hot water faucet, shower taps, curtains, bed frames, lights, and all these small things which makes a hotel visit good, is totally unacceptable.
To be perfectly honest, this hotel no longer deserves it's five-star status at the current time. I would put it at a low three-stars, probably closer to mid two-stars status, until extensive renovations and thorough maintenance is completed.
