★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Halal Hockkien Mee (Aimi's HKM) and delicious local coffee which are roasted by shop owner.
The most delicious HALAL HKM in Penang.
Morning session only is on HKM but sometime sold out before lunch time. The afternoon or lunch session is Economic Rice.
The roasted coffee worth trying and also available the roasted coffee powder.
Across the street (diagonally) is a mamak stall selling some nasi lemak, teh and light food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purposely came here for the nasi kandar (MYR 7.50). Unfortunately, it doesn't meet my expectation. The bandung (MYR 1.80) was tad too sweet, but plenty of ice given so you can wait for the ice to melt. Remember to stir the bandung before drinking though.

Updated 2021: Nasi kandar was moved to an opposite shop lot 50m away from Toon Leong.
Each morning I always see long queue for the nasi kandar. So today I give it a try. Not to say that this is the best nasi kandar in penang as there are so many contenders for the title. But nasi kandar from this stall taste is good, above average and value for money. 1 plate of squid, lady finger and egg and another plate of lamb, ladyfinger and egg, total bill is only RM14. My advise is to reach there before 830am as my lamb is the last piece at that time many food already sold out

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here for breakfast and I really enjoyed it. I had kaya toast, half boiled eggs and drinks.
The kaya toast here is really good - there's a real attention to detail to make sure each part of the meal is good.
I had cham ping and Hor Ka Sai here.
The shop itself is beautiful - I would definitely come here again.
