★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After staying in the neighbourhood for about 5 years, I found this place through google ??♀️ it’s always google right. (not sure where my eyes have been!) Anyway, here’s my experience and what I ordered:
1. Coffee recommended by the staff (I forgot what it was)
2. The Hulk Sandwich
3.Butter cake
4. Lime tart
5. Chicken teriyaki
Upon entering, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the staffs which was really nice cus I was having a gloomy day so that put a smile on my face.
1. Coffee
4/5. It is more on the sweeter side but it was still a decent coffee.
2. The Hulk Sandwich
4/5. It was good but could be better.
3. Butter Cake
1/5. This was disappointing cus it tasted just like condensed milk cake. Butter cake is supposed to be buttery and creamy! not sweet!
4. Lime tart
2/5 cus I only tasted the sourness from the lime. The crust and cream on top was supposed to be sweet & creamy as to balance out that sourness from the lime but instead it was sliiiiightly burned and dry.
5. Chicken Teriyaki (picture not included)
4/5. It was decent. Perhaps needed more seasoning and little bit more salt but I was hungry so I still finished it.
Overall, not great but still good. Their staffs definitely made me want to come back! I’ll be looking forward to see some improvements then

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small neighborhood cafe that blends and roast their own coffee beans. They complies to strict SOP policy and at the time of the visit, they've not yet open for dining-in, which understandable. Their coffee is a little pricey especially the cold brew but the taste is really good because of their own coffee crafting skills, so no regret. Also, always remember to return the cold brew coffee bottle to enjoy RM1 discount for the next purchase. This is a good environmental support policy ??????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice place to catch up with friends or family. There's a lack of variety to the menu in my opinion but quite a good selection of deserts. Plus, there's a cat! So really it's the only thing that matters. The service was friendly and they made good use of the space in the cafe without it being overcrowding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I visited Underscore Coffee today and were amazed at not only the quality of coffee & food, but also the service. We had the Chicken Avocado Sourdough, Chicken Teriyaki rice, Picollo & Latte.
☕Their coffee art was very beautiful and they even provided the details of their beans. Basically you can choose two: seasonal or everyday blend. We opt for the later one due to our preferences.
?This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a minimalist and welcoming environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Need to improve the air ventilation. Residential cooking hood is not suitable for restaurant or cafe when frying is heavy. We smell like bacon after meal. After all, it’s a nice cafe and food is acceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee is at the strong note but it was served luke warm. Would prefer hot coffee, most probably the milk didn’t froth properly or long enough. Butter cake was a bit sweet but it blends well with the strong coffee.

Further away from the more popular Oasis Ara Damansara or Citta Mall lies an industrial area where many hidden gems are located. I have found 3 good spot for coffee - GRIT, Pages Book Cafe and now this Underscore Coffee. More of a neighbourhood cafe that blends and roasts their own bean, it's far from the prying eyes but still attracting strong crowds especially those who patronise then regularly.
Adopting a minimalist design, this cafe is quite quaint at the time of my visit. The sight of pastries and cakes on display made my sweet tooth craving for dessert despite heavy lunch earlier. The barista was very friendly and attentive in answering our queries.
◾Dirty Latte - chilled milk and hot espresso combo brought out the best temperature of coffee that I prefer.
◾Cold brew white - readily available in the chiller which include black coffee as well.
◾Strawberry & lemon cake - never knew that this combination would work, so we were pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy such delicious cake while fixing our caffeine needs.
No chance to try hot food due to the full tummy but I read that it was good. Will bring the family for lunch next time.
