β β β β β Very close to the jetty, nice view. But the staff (small guy with glasses) is very unfriendly and no helpful. I wanted to go back to Kuala Lumpur. He told me it was impossible because I was the only one and 2 people minimum were needed. So I extended my stay. Then someone told me there is a local bus, much cheaper, everyday. When I asked him why he didn't inform me, instead of apologies, he laughed and told be bulchit. Few minutes later a group of hikers came back, very thirsty. One guy of the group was not from the hostel. The little staff with glasses refused to give him water which is free for the guesses. I have never seen someone refusing to give water to a thirsty person !

β β β β β Great hostel, with the most beautiful views over the river towards the national park, and probably the only hostel selling beer in the area.
Would also highly recommend taking the 2 day trip to sleep in the cave that you can book from there. The guide Zem is a great guy. If you're lucky you'll get to see Mr Spikey.

β β β β β very nice place with great staff. clean, good view and they have porch to hang in the night and talk to others about jungle life :)
dorms are basic but enough. many shared showers and restrooms. very clean and well organised.
really had great time!

β β β β β Great hostel right at the gates of the Park. Very comfortable beds,decent amount of showers and toilets, and a nice terrace (mosquito free!) to chill out in the evenings. I thought it was great that they had a water dispenser that provided cool fresh water for FREE!
Elvin, the guy at reception was helpful and mindful of your needs and requirements, and was a great guy who was happy to share his experience in the park when engaged in quite conversation.

β β β β β Nice hostel in Taman Negara, fairly clean room. Nice people there with a decent wifi. They have water and tea if you want. They will also help you find the tours and rent any necessary equipment. The pictures I posted are the views from the room in the hostel. You can cross the river for 1R and go to the rain forest. Once there you must pay a fee to enter and take pictures. We went through the forest without a guide and then did the night tour which was pretty cool and would recommend.

β β β β β Great place to stay forever! Staff is helpful, friendly and close , which makes your life in the hostel great.
Rooms and toilets are clean. All rooms have the view to the river, a big fan and anti-mosquitos plugged in, which really helps to avoid insects in the room.
Breakfast is not included but there's coffee and tea for free the whole day, so you can buy anything and have breakfast there with the nice views to the river :)

The food prepare from Tahan Restaurant also tasty and yummy.
