★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would appreciate if the salon had told me for the extra muslimah room charge before I walked in for my hair cut. I’ve been to tons of salons before and non of them charged for the room. The cut above charged me for RM 40!
Also, I would appreciate if the hair stylist had told me honestly about the price before giving me the hair cut I wanted. She mentioned that it was RM 140 originally, but after she cut it, she told me it was RM 160, as my hair was “curly”! She literally took less than 10mins to cut my hair.
I do not appreciate this kind of attitude and I am very disappointed.
The hair cut did not even match the picture I showed the stylist at all. The only reason I am giving a 2 star was because the staff had a good attitude.
Do tell your customers upfront about the price. I honestly feel duped by A cut above.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my hair washed and blown by Marissa from Kedah. I’m very satisfied with her service and attitude. Before coming here, I actually went to another salon just a few doors away. I asked for a hair wash, and the receptionist arrogantly stated “you have to make appointment you know”. Well, I’m so glad I walked away, or else I wouldn’t have met Marissa. When I told the receptionist I wanted a hair wash, she immediately lead me inside with a smile. I’m giving it 3 stars for now, as I’ve only tried the wash. Yet to try perm, colour, etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always went here for walk in & my favourite hair stylist so far is Summer. She's very good & professional. I came here for Was & blow. The way she massage your scalp & head is very good! Thank you Summer. Definitely will come here again with my mom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to get my hair washed and blown. I had a wonderful experience with my hairstylist Angel . She gave one of the best head massage while washing my hair. She is also so sweet and gave good advice for my hair. Even when she was just towel drying my hair before the blow she did it so well. I nearly fell asleep. And the finale was my blow. Amazing job. Loved it. Props to Angel Lee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The results are pretty good but service was not that great. The only positive experience with the service was the reception - the rest seemed very detached and not personal at all.
For the price I would've expected a more friendly atmosphere but the place has more of a factory feeling to it. Still, the end result I was happy with even though I likely won't be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came on the 4.6.2022 at 7.15pm. My wife wanted to have a hair wash and treatment. We were received at the counter by a short hair lady. My wife did not get her hair checked by any professional as what we usually get from any reputable salon. We were ushered by another lady (shampoo lady i believe) to a seat and my wife started to give her some helpful infos as how she wants her to blow her hair as my wife's hair needs delicate and skillful techniques cos her hair is a bit on the dry type. Again she wasn't attended by any professional that i noticed except for the shampoo lady. In the meantime i noticed the salon's other shampoo ladies were like working by their turns...almost like masseuse. And at the same time i notice few of them rushing back probably ending their shift; which i noticed that the lady attending my wife too was also rushing to finish her task. Also, they did not give enough choices for the treatment except for one leave-in type and another one. According to my wife, they also missed one step which is applying a pre-treatment product. In conclusion, the result didn't potray A Cut Above at all! And true enough the lady rushed back home when we were only 2 steps outside the salon. Verdict...not recommendable.
