★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just learned that this new Japanese eatery was opened three months ago.
It is one of the sister restaurants of Edo Ichi Group which caters Japanese cuisine. So the food quality and presentation are about there.
The only disappointment is the limited menu. Up to 80% of the dishes mainly contain salmon while the rest are beef and chicken. No yakitori ~ Japanese version satay, no chawanmushi. Only few types of sushi =( Same for the noodle and rice dishes. I could not find any other spicy noodle than the curry udon.
Service is good and price is average.
My take ~ not returning unless additional types of dishes are added in the menu =]

Price a bit overpriced for me but the food quite delicious and tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aburi Sushi @Gurney Plaza is located at the basement, towards the other end (near cimb atm). Overall the food is not bad, most of my favorite is their deep fried dishes. Must try the Ebi Yasai Kakiage (mix deep fried vege with prawns), its sweet and crunchy! You also can try the Hokkaido Kani (deep fried battered prawns & milk), crispy from the outside and soft from the inside. The sushis that I tried especially the mentai style is worth trying, not superb but its good. The rice is set it not bad also. Their green tea its in powder form.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An early father's day celebration with family ?. Found this restaurant trending and quite newly opened in Gurney Plaza,decided to give it a try.
The atmosphere was quite pleasant, despite the crowded area of the mall. With warm lightings and just nicely air conditioned. Came just at lunch time around 11.30am. several tables are still vacant and we got a seat at the back row.
The menu has a wide variety of foods. There is also a special set menu too. Ordered a yasai ebi karagae ??don with kitsune udon set at RM38 . With set orders, a top of if RM8 for four pcs of salmon sashimi nigiri sushi ?. My family ordered the seared lamb rice ?. The taste is very delicious and the service is fast with young waiters. The yasai shrimp karagae is really crispy and tasty and it's not oily. 4 large portions of the karagae is more than enough for a meal a very affordable japanese restaurant and will considered above satisfaction!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is very delicious. Ordered the crean crab korokke and I must say, it's crispy on the outside, the inside is really creamy, soft and melt in your mouth. The sushi is fresh and good. The Japanese curry we had is on the spicy end, fragrance and kick. Highly recommended.

They have added new menu such as set meal for noodles and rice as well.
The place was hygiene and clean too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their specialty is flame-seared sushi, expected there would be a long list of sushi items on the menu. I feel the truffle condiments are a bit gimmicky - had the Aburi Una Truffle Roll, unagi and the sauce just overwhelmed the truffle, might work on other sushi but just not this one though. Will try the popular Aburi Wagyu roll next time. Other familiar delights are just as good as all Edo Ichi group of restaurants.
