★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although there’s hardly any dine in customers the food service was rather slow. The HK iced cold milk tea was quick coz I guessed it was pre brewed and stored inside a large fridge. Place is easy to find and plenty of parking - now free due to pandemic. The curry fish ball is nice with just the right amount of spiciness for me. Can be pretty addictive. Ordering via the QR code was exactly a good experience probably due to weak 4G signal and the app hangs while browsing the online menu. At the end we just told the waitress what we want ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Summary:
Recommended if visiting for environment and drinks. Food wise not so recommended especially if you are not into lightly-seasoned food. Drinks wise, just make sure they are chilled enough before you drink.
Details:
Environment wise all is good, during peak hours will be a bit noisy but it’s expected. Do expect to wait a little if you’re visiting during peak hours, but staff were friendly and explained that we need to wait a while. Their queue system is pretty organized and you’ll be given a small plastic tag with number indicated.
Overall the restaurant looks clean and their work station looks pretty organized. Upon entering the restaurant you’ll see a good selection of their freshly baked pastries and their drinks.
They have a pretty good selection of food and beverage items but what we’ve ordered didn’t meet our expectations.
We ordered YinYong (冰镇鸳鸯) and Coffee (冰镇咖啡). Taste wise, the coffee/ tea taste were strong/ “kaw” enough with a right balance between coffee/ tea and milk. The sweetness was just right but they weren’t chilled enough when they were first served as they emerged in a bucket of ice cubes. Towards the end of our meal the drinks tasted better as they were chilled enough.
Food wise, we’ve ordered the Polo Bun (菠萝包), Macau Pork Chop Bun with fries and Luncheon Meat Cubes with Egg Rice. This depends on personal preference but the food tasted quite light for us.
Polo Bun - personally I liked how soft and nice the bread was and the crust on top have a nice crunch to it.
Macau Pork Chop Bun with fries - the pork chop itself was very lightly marinated as you can only taste the a hint of Nam Yu (南乳) on the outer layer. There weren’t much flavor (salt/ pepper) on the fries itself.
Luncheon Meat Cubes with Egg Rice - we liked the egg which they’ve put over the rice, luncheon meat and rice wise, they were alright but overall the dish wasn’t fragrant or seasoned enough. We felt that the sauce they’ve poured over the dish could’ve been more than just a simple soy sauce, perhaps added with a little sesame oil or fried onion/ shallot oil.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall is a good dining experience,
Environment ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
The moment you walk into the restaurant, you will receive a warm welcome with a pleasant coffee and pastry buttery scent. Nice music being played and not too cold/hot environment.
Cheese baked rice ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5)
they serve the excellent cheese baked rice!!! It's been a long time, like severals years that I dont get to eat such wonderful/delicious cheese baked rice, with a reasonable price and portion. Meanwhile, you can experience the "cheese pull" ?, since they really put alot of cheese on it?❤️ Must try!!! (Me and my friends order a pork chop cheese baked rice, and a seafood flavour cheese baked rice, with the base of tomato paste? - seafood is even nicer than the pork chop one hahahahaha, must try)
Polo bun ⭐⭐ (1.5/5)
But then their polo bun is dry out/ or a bit hard (keras) to eat. Not sure why, but the choux on the top of their polo bun is actually quite nice.
Return rate for me is definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of five) will explore more delicious food in there✨

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great follow SOP, still checking on mysejahtera.
If I would compare with Hong Kong style,
The food that I tried shown below is being localised because it is not too oily or salty. The char siew is really good, balance the fat and lean meat, I like the caramelised side. The milk tea has silky milk and strong tea taste. The curry fish ball has no curry taste at all, I dislike it (personally not a fans of fishballs too).
Service wise, they tried to be "very fast" but still not that fast compared to the services in Hong Kong but much well-mannered cause this is Malaysia.
And my takeaway for polo buns and tarts make me waited awhile and I felt uncomfortable as there is no spot for me to stand and wait. I felt I was disturbing the rest.
The polo buns is not as good as expected. The bun is hard! Even though it was heated. Overrated!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ironic that friend wanted to try this pretentious hk style cafe in setapak when I didn't even want to try so myself staying here.
Friend loves the dry noodle here but man, it feels like eating nissin noodle as it's really nothing special. It's hard for me to trust her food recommendation after failing twice ?. Added a few slices of char siew and 3 pathetic curry balls and they charge rm18 ?
What else is pretentious.. Yes, their Polo Buns (菠萝包). Tho sadly I have not been to HK to try this original delicacy, I'd imagine the bun to be crispy and sweet on the outside and soft in the inside with a thick slab of butter that melts so good with every bite. Nope. The butter was hard, the bun didn't crumble with every bite and leaves u wanting for more. All their coffees and milk tea are also not worth mentioning.
But thanks to this irony, it leaves me craving to visit HK to really taste their char chan Teng food for real. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food portion is big, taste is acceptable but the fried chicken is abit not fresh and over cooked. Feel so dry and hard to bite. Milk tea is slightly tasteless and not cold enough. Environment is clean, staff attitude is acceptable too.
