β β β β β If you want to find souvenir or local products of terengganu, u have to visit here. Pasar Payang is one of the landmark of terengganu. This place is quite busy especially during school holiday. Parking area around the building is quite limited. There is a parking space inside the building but the space is too narrow. I dont think Toyota Hiace will pass the height to go to the parking space. The ground floor is where you can find food, fruits, spices and herbs, shoes, and terengganu delicacies. You will be spoiled wih choices. Some of the products are quite hard to find elsewhere such as turtle egg, buah bidara, and some siamese product. The first floor is where you can find terengganu art and craft. This is where you can find souvenir such as tshirts, keychain, bags, and batik with reasonable price. The food court is also placed in the first floor. You might want to try the refreshing mihun sup. However the dining area is quite hot and humid. So make sure u find seat near the fan. Your visit to terengganu is incomplete if u haven't visit pasar payang. However, if you arrived around azan or muslim prayer time, some shop might closed as the seller prioritise the solat first. Sellers are kind, welcoming and helpful. We even took picture with seller shop NL11 that give us discount!

β β β β β It's very interesting place to visit. But don't go there with children. Since they don't operate the air conditioner, it's kind difficult to stay there long. Except that , it's worth to see and shop there.

β β β β β Being in Pasar Besar Kedai Payang (or known as Payang Market by local) for 3-4 hours will not be enough for travelers. Many things may be found inside this 2-storey building. ? The lower level places the wet and dry kitchen needs; vegetables and fruits, seafood, spices, cooking utensils (from fork blades to pots and pans) and many other locally produced food products such as, kerepek, keropok and serunding. ? The upper floor of the building is typical for dry products, Terengganu special output; Batik and songket, ready-made clothing, local crafts output, and souvenirs . ? if you drive, vehicles may be parked in adjacent buildings (8 levels & connected) or around market areas. The bus station is also located adjacent to this market.

β β β β β Kinda crowded and have a dense atmosphere. The market is very authentic (i think). you can get many local products here, be it craft or food or textile. Hope the authority will improve the hygiene and the lighting. The place seems dirty and dim to me (esp the parking lot). Btw love the mural/arts on the wall. The pics were taken at a same part. I don't have time to explore the other parts.

β β β β β Pasar Payang is one of the landmark of Terengganu. Very famous market in Kuala Terengganu (hotspot). Variety of food and thing can be found here. Also can be found tradisional food of Negeri Terengganu. Best place to buy tradisional stuff, especially for batiks lover.

β β β β β A local market that is stocked like a hypermarket. You can find fresh produce, seafood, dry groceries, clothes, food stuff, etc here. There's also a food court upstairs. Many vendors sell the same thing, so you you can always shop for the best deal. The layout upstairs is built like a maze and can be a bit stuffy.
