★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restraunt is good. Big choice and moderate prices.
But:
The accomodation is rediculous for this price (150 RM). The bathroom is horrible, the toilet flushing is not working and you can smell the urin of the guys stayed in this room before.
The biggest mistake was to use their laundry service. We got it back almost wet, stinky in a plastic bag for 10 RM per kg. Unfortunatelly, 2 pair of my socks were lost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ probably the worst place on long beach. the rooms are very smelly. there are wild monitor lizards everywhere. they dont provide electricity from 9am till 6pm to the rooms. thats bad taken into account the equal prices to other places around. the toilets in the room are very dirty and doesnt have adequate water supply either. will not recommended it to anyone.

The rooms were clean and the bed was clean.
Paid RM120 for a room with 2 beds put together that can easily fit 3 people.
I am just unhappy about the bathroom. Any plumbing here should be renewed because my sink pipes were misaligned so water splashed out on to the floor. the bathrooms have a floor plan that makes the water flow away from the drain, so that a gross pool of your shower water (and your friend's) flowed towards the door and you had to jump over that to get out of the bathroom. This water then slowly leaked out through the cracks of the bathroom floor. Ants got in in the morning to eat all the dead moths.

- the bathroom is VERY dirty ! There is mould growth on the sink ! The bathrooms haven't been cleaned for a long time ! (This point is the one that deserve only one star)
- the staff is not very friendly
- too expensive for what it is
What's good :
- situation : not in the middle of the beach/village, so the place is quiet
- air conditionner
- mosquito net

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 6 months in Asia this might be the worst place I stayed.
I stayed in the dorm. The bathrooms were terrible: mouldy, pools of water constantly on the floor, broken showers/sinks/doors.
Other guests were openly smoking in the dorm and the staff showed no interest in this. My friend was in a bed that was also allocated to someone else. The staff didn't even apologize for this basic mistake.
Staff were unhelpful in general.
I moved to another hostel for the remainder of my stay on the island. I recommend that you don't make the mistake of staying here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best thing about Mohsin Chalet is the view of the glorious Long Beach. Foods served in their restaurant are delicious, but kinda pricey. May Lord have Mercy on thy soul if you see bugs (especially lizards and spiders) in your room at night. Would not suggest to take the room with lots of bunk beds because that one is hot and its washroom sucks. And, don't get surprised by no electricity in daytime there - none of the hotels in Perhentian have electricity during the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chalet is far from the beach on the hilly part of the island, facilities is bad, first day stay no electricity due to faulty generator, 3rd day no water supply, toilet sink is not working , everything is in poor condition
