★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I use the AmGeneral / Kurnia insurance office in Brickfields (located on the 5th floor of Menara Shell) because it is convenient to home and I get excellent service. Generally there is little or no waiting as the counters are well staffed with knowledgeable agents. And, should you have to wait a few minutes the coffee shop just next door offers great services too. There is parking available plus additional option from the NuSentral mall just along the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can renew or buy car insurance here. The sevice is fantastic and efficient. Normally if you come here in the morning, you can renew your insurance within 5 minutes. This is a great location for those who want to save the 10% rebate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AmGeneral Insurance has been very happy to take our money and insure us over many years. In fact, their premiums over this time have been well in excess of MYR100,000.
Our property was recently damaged by a falling tree which was probably hit by lightening during a thunder storm. The cost of the repairs was not huge but it totalled MYR2,500.
We took pictures and reported the damage to the insurer, fully expecting the claim to be covered in total.
Well, to our amazement, AmGeneral Insurance refused our claim completely, describing it as wind damage (which it was not).
The lesson that we have learned is as follows:
1. Excellent customer service when you are paying your premiums to them.
2. A complete disappointment and waste of time when you need to claim.
What they need to understand is that in saving MYR2,500 through denying the legitimate claim, they have lost tens of thousands of business going forward. A bad decision on every level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After calling for tow truck assistance 3 hours ago, I'm still waiting for the tow truck to arrive. It's probably going to be another hour wait at least before the tow truck arrive. Utterly useless service! Contact center says will call me back to update twice but never did. Left it to tow truck driver to take his own sweet time. First tow truck driver called and asked me to share location. I did, an hour later no show and not picking up phone. Second tow truck driver says 45 mins, after half hour calls again and say needs to pick up baby wheels and need 45 mins again. For fxxx sake, you are leaving your customer stranded by the highway for hours!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In this recent flood disaster, the response of AmGeneral Insurance is very slow and take it very lightly. Over the years my company renewed the machinery & equipment insurance with AmGeneral and now this is the first time we seeking assistance from them to file a claim. I understand it is a Sunday and insurance company is OFF on Sunday, but during this time of urgency how can you ask your customer to wait till you back to work on Monday only settle the issue for us? It is very obvious they are thinking of money first and customer's problem is secondary. Very disappoint!
