Still a great place for a quick breakfast. Everytime we are there in Penang, we are there. Hokkien mee was good. Basically value for your dollars. The operators are friendly.

Though simple set up, few food stalls are of good taste. HK mee, char hor fun, curry mee, fried koay teow. Good indian food next door. Parking at road side.

So many good food in this coffee shop and within 1 minutes walk. In this coffee shop, yee mee, shang mee, wan tan mee, prawn mee is delicious. Curry mee, okay teow tng and fried koay teow so so only. Fried bee hoon stall ok only. The roti canai next door is very good. Another must try is a roadside stall selling apom.

Truly a local eatery. Not tourist pricing, still can get the Penang feel curry mee and char kuey teow here (with Penang price & Penang small portion). Curry Mee was rm6 and Char Kuey Teow was rm5.5 with egg. Golden rule, always be there before 9am before everyone else come. Was there on 8.30am on a public holiday and plenty of tables available. Was suggested to try the curry mee and hokkien mee (prawn noodle, that's how they called it here). Curry Mee was superb. Unfortunately hokkien mee wasn't available. Checked with the shop, the hokkien mee stall only open from Monday to Friday, and close on public holiday. The shop itself open from Monday to Saturday. Will be going to try it on my coming visit which is in very near future. Char Kuey Teow is above average, yes it deserved to carry the title of Penang Char Kuey Teow.

Excellent kopi tiam compared to the one at Pulau Tikus with Kopi O (RM1.60) with interesting sour acidic note . Hokkien prawn Mee (RM5) is sought after but fails to reach the level served at Chew Jetty. The hidden gem is the Curry Mee(RM5), though initially disappointing without cockles, was a tasty light bowl of santan curry.
