β β β β β The tiny humble restaurant located along Jalan Merdeka, serving bold authentic flavours of Baba Nyonya/Peranakan cuisine using carefully selected local ingredients. It has that family homecooked feel to it you just have to visit to understand. All their dishes were cooked to its maximum flavour. Special highlight to their Asam Pedas Fish, succulent in their spicy-soury thick gravy paired well with their cencalok omellete. Good for big groups but seatings are limitted. Parking is ample around the area.

I cannot go to Peranakan restaurants in Singapore after this one ? (they are expensive and not good enough)

β β β β β This was kinda a gem for us, we lined up for more than an hour due to limited seatings in the store but it was absolutely worth it! Smaller groups may opt for sharing a table (which we did). Come early to write down your name and number of pax as it may take some time for you to get a table.
First impressions of the interior, it felt like granma's house. Cozy and chill ambience, it was really nice. The limited seatings made it possible as it felt like the restaurant genuinely wanted the customers to enjoy their food instead of maximizing profits by taking on the number of customers that they might not be able to handle.
Food was amazing! Their Cendol and Lime Plum Drinks were pretty good too. This time came in a group of 2, would be nice to have a bigger group so that we could try more dishes. Do give this place a shot if you're in Melaka!

β β β β β First restaurant my partner and I visited when we arrived Melaka.
This was recommended by our friend. It was full house and the server kindly notified us of the long waiting time. We agreed to queue up. The wait was worthwhile although it took roughly 30 mins.
Food was very good. Cendol is a must before and after meal. It's very special and nutty taste unlike penang cendol. Penang cendol is more milky. The gula melaka and santan is fragrant and fresh. Cendol was fat short and nice to bite.
We ordered chicken ponteh, otak-otak and cincalok omelette for main dish. The omelette was normal, chicken ponteh has good flavours packs a punch. My partner liked the Otakotak but I felt soso..
Before we ended the trip, we even went again for the cendol. YES! Always order one before and one after meal. We ordered the kangkung belacan this time. That's tip top best best. Who knew kangkung could be so yummy.
Overall, good experience and I'm already missing the cendol. Service was decent as well. Thank you. Hope u huat huat..

I waited nearly 90 mins for table and foods.
Chap Cai is not good, but cincalok egg and pineapple prawn is not bad.
Cendol is very nice.
Rice portion is very small.

Authentic flavoured Cendol (10/10), great Spicy Asam Fish (10/10), Sambal Sotong + Petai, Onion Omelette and Kapitan Chicken!!
Would definitely recommend you here for an authentic Nyonya meal!!

β β β β β Very slow service.. we lined up for an hour and wait for the food for another hour. They only have 6 tables, so expect long waiting time due to limited sitting space. Due to limited table u might need to share with others. Luckly the Food was okay & price is affordable. To think twice to come here again.
