★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called the Singapore embassy today, spoke with a Mr Syed to clarify visa extension process during MCO period. Was advised to wait till MCO was over, then go to Malaysia Immigration office within 14 days to apply for extension.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience was really bad when I called to the embassy today. I was asking some info about how to apply to NUS, what sort of documents needed to prepare etc, she told me she hasn't received any news about the scholarship offers,asked me to refer Singapore MOE and hung up my call abruptly!! What was she so busy about that she had to do this? Doesn't she has any past experience in handling this? :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After being denied submitting my application from local malaysian agencies, I decided to call the high commissioners. The lady who I spoke to was really professional and allowed me to explain my situation and concern. She got my information and contacted the travel agency.
Problem was solved at that stage.
Very well trained and professional staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For all the positive reputation that Singapore has, I must say that the High Commission of Singapore in Kuala Lumpur here lacks in customer service. This is truly worrying as should there be an emergency situation, would I also be left waiting for a prolonged period of time to be attended to over the phone. This needs to be escalated, as I do see similar posts about the lack of standard with the customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Singapore government please close this Embassy. An embassy that is devoid of emotions and feelings for their own citizens, or maybe that's the message given out by the Singapore government to its citizens overseas that's why the attitudes.
An Out and out disappointment.. Will avoid at all costs unless necessary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Need to make appointment beforehand. No appointment, no entry. Appointment made days later. Upon entering, you're forced to surrender your phone and the officer stationed at the guardpost is so strict & fierce. The whole place gives prison vibes. Almost feel like I've comitted a crime upon entering. As a Singaporean, I don't approve and fell resented of being here
An embassy is supossed to show a country's offering. With the tall concrete barriers and tight security, the SG High Comission in KL gives an impression of Singapore being an enemy of the state and that Malaysia is hostile.
