Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur - 50450 Kuala Lumpur

This Hotel is welcoming it's guests by letting them wait 35min. Standing in a line and waiting for check in. Other 5 Star hotels offer a welcome drink or a place to sit, while waiting for check in. Room is very dusty, the bedside glass lamps have not been cleaned in weeks. The windows are very dirty. The minibar is empty. One of the two complementary water bottle was already opened before. The kettel is old and dirty. Bathroom floor is not clean. Mirror not cleaned. The concert seat inside the shower is discussting, it already has some kind of black mold on it. No hand towels, only two big shower towel. The toilet seat is broken, falling off when you sit on it. The rain shower to normal shower head switch is not working, only can use rain shower. The Room door is very broken and needs to be replaced. The security lock is broken. The room furniture is not 5 Star hotel worthy. Only one basic chair and some kind of useless seating block. No luggage stand or anything. All very basic, things you can find in any 3 Star Hotel. The bed is kind of hard not some Kingcoil type of bed you would expect in a 5 Star hotel. The pillows are just cheap polyester filled pillow. No battery in the TV remote. No TV channels, only one English news channel and Nat Geo. No entertainment or Movie Channels. The Master Light switch has no function. Elevators need renovation. The breakfast is very lousy, no receptionist who is greating guests and assigne them to Tables. Tables are dirty, Nobody cleaning the tables once guest left. Everything is very sticky, the floor is dirty and sticky. Very limited food options. No cereals at all, no nuts, dry fruits, no yoghurt, fresh fruit selection only two. Breakfast buffet stuff using Smartphones during work. There are not enough tables, people wating to get a free table. In general the hotel stuff is not friendly. No smiling, no greatings, no good morning, no welcome to.... No thank you, no holding doors open. The hallway outside the rooms need cleaning or renovation. No Bellboy, no concierge, no taxi service. When you enter the hotel in the afternoon it's like you are entering an abandoned building, everything is dark, not one hotel employee or security guard there. There are hundreds of cigarette butt's on the floor and used food containers which were already there the day before. When I came back to the Hotel at 20:00 there was still dirty dishes on the breakfast tables. I am not able to understand how the Hotel Management can have so little passion and let all this happen. Does nobody care at all or see anything during the daily inspections ? The Hari Raya holidays are very important events for Hotels. Because many potential new guests are visiting the Hotels. Therefore the hotel's should do their very best to impress new guest's, so they might come back in the future. That's certainly not the case in this Hotel. Attracting guests only with a low price, is a very risky business model. When I came to KL the first time around 19 years ago, Maya Hotel was the top address in KLCC. Now I would say it is the opposite. There are certainly better hotels in the same category, for ex. around Pavilion.

Nice stay in the middle of KL Golden Triangle. We enjoyed the stay very much.We were comfortable with the room and all the facilities offered. The staff's hospitality was great.

Location is great, near KLCC and saloma bridge. The rooms are spacious, but i feel like the housekeeping didn't check the whole room properly. The bathroom is wide, we even have ? unfortunately the water tap is not functioning well (they're loose and we spent time turning off the water - didn't dare using the tub anymore ?) and the bathroom is too wet and slippery since the ? is directly at the door. There is no vanity table, only a moving desk, and old style round mirror. the sliding door of the wardrobe is full sized mirror, but share it with the bathroom which is a bit weird lol. Not sure if the air-conditioning is functioning well or not (it showed 16° but i keep waking up in the middle of the night sweating) Our another room is a bit better though - so go for the studio heritage room one Breakfast is great, a lot of choices that it feels like there is not enough time to taste everything. There is valet parking and the staffs are all friendly and helpful. The parking lot is a bit confusing since you need to park at the other building (?) Take the ? to the banquet hall, and cross to the other side to get to your room ?

Am a little disappointed with the hotel, they mistakenly gave me a room that was already occupied and the new room they gave me claimed to be ‘upgraded’ but did not have the bathtub that was listed. They didn’t even inform me before placing me that there will be no bathtub. They gave excuse that all the king studio were still fully booked and only twin beds were available. If you did not have any more availabilities, you should not have listed that for open booking. This is clearly a fault in their part. There are no kids pool and one of the lifts broke down while using. The parking is in another block and you have to walk from the next block to lobby before being able to access your room. Overall not recommended.

Overall condition of the hotel was good. We were welcome with a welcome note hand written by the general manager. However, the after experience was bad. I left a phone charger adapter in the room. Called once to check with the reception and they say would return call but they didn’t. The next day, called again, and was told with a return call as well but failed again. A charger adapter is not expensive but if such a simple return courtesy call, to find and return my things can’t be done, then I wouldn’t expect to leave expensive things in the room and expect it to be there during the stay.

Clean and spacious room with fair price. Though the room might appear to be slightly dated. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet provided is tasty but don't be late as they don't refill as often. Location is right the middle of KL with KLCC just minutes of walk away. Comfortable and budget friendly. Recommended.

Excellent staff, was an experience away from the normal chain hotel, great location, Easy access to KLCC and the Tourist Information Center. Greet food all around and the buffet we’ll managed to delight everyone. Suggestions given for further enhancement of quality to make it even more awesome

A nice hotel in a downtown area with an amazing swimming pool. The hydrotherapy pool was the best; a great pool for stress relief and relaxation. The room was clean and cozy. The staff were extremely nice, especially the bell staff. Each of the staff I encountered was extremely nice, polite, and professional. I was waiting in the hotel lobby for my transportation to arrive, and I waited for almost an hour, so while waiting I saw how they helped and treated the guests. Overall, I had a great experience in terms of accommodation and services.
