β β β β β Today,we had the most enjoyable meal to date.
Penang Char Kway Teow noodles prepared the truly authentic way.A highly recommended restaurant for both the young and old to meet up.Brings back beautiful memories for us.
And of course to complete the passion, we finished off with the ever so colourful ice kachang.
Service was excellent..

β β β β β A sad serving of cendol with hardened ice shavings in a weak santan and gula melaka swill, topped with poor quality Azuki red beans, did not make this stop a delight. A better and cheaper option is found at Section 17 for an afternoon indulgence.

β β β β β Nice cendol. But The asam laksa just average.
Variety food here. Definitely will visit again. ?

β β β β β Little Penang Kafe started life in Mid Valley Megamall quite some time ago with a promise of bringing Penang's favourite dishes to the Klang Valley. Residents here have heard that sort of promise many times before but were always disappointed. However, this time round, it became a success, because it offered real honest-to-goodness Penang treats that tasted really true to its origins.
Since then, other branches have opened in KLCC, The Curve (which has since closed and moved to Tropicana Gardens Mall) and this one in the Damansara neighbourhood mall - Atria.
Stylistically furnished the same as the other restaurants, the offerings here are just as good as the other branches as well - kudos to the owners for being able to maintain the food quality throughout.
The restaurants are pork-free and as a Penangite myself, I can vouch for the taste of the food here to be authentic, and good.
My favourite curry mee and mee jawa are my two targets whenever I dine here, along with their ice-kachang - which, honestly, is just as good as having a bowl of it over at Swatow Lane in Penang.
It's a great place to quell my need for some good Penang food!

β β β β β Unacceptably stingy with side dish.
We ordered a hainanese chicken chop. The dish looked empty besides the chicken and the wedges were extremely small compared to the image in the menu (only 4-5 wedges)
We complained about it, they said they canβt do anything since they received those from their supplier. The least they can do is provide more βmini wedgesβ, so I asked for it. Turns out they actually do have normal size wedges but chose to serve me extremely small ones.

β β β β β The char kuey teow is the best! The Pietee here is crispy and nice. If lunch time might need to wait for some times. And might didn't have the seat. The service here is just normal.

β β β β β Disappointing lunch ordered. Penang Village standards hv dropped. The rojak cost a princely sum but the sotong was two small pieces at the top. The keropok in the Nasi lemak Ayam was soft. Ckt was average. Saving grace was the nyonya chicken rice set. Hope they lift the standards again.

β β β β β A popular eatery with decent local fare on offer. My partner especially enjoyed the dessert (red ruby). My char kuay teow was nicely done with cockles. The place can get a tad busy and important to ensure you get the right dish brought to the table when ordered - foreign waiters can sometimes seem a bit unsure.
