★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried the Mala steamboat. Didnt know if there is any level of spicy-ness, the waiter didnt mention anything. But it was VERY SPICY. It was not a good type spicy. It was torture. I couldnt even enjoy it, and got gastric after that. My tolerance level of spicy food is high (in my culture, we eat everything with chili), but this is just another level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute shichuan chilli experience. Similar spiceness like in Xian when I had chicken chilli & mee over there. Go for 'Pedas Sikit' if you want to have same experience. Will leave your lips numb for a while. Love this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is super slow although the restaurant seems always to be empty, the table and glasses are smelly like it is not properly cleaned, the cooks are not wearing proper cook attire (just normal round neck tshirt). I dont know how do they selected these staffs. Perhaps by the roadside on any random mat rempits (as they blasted some rock kapak songs throughout the premise). Semoga cepat bungkus just like their MM outlet. Garbage restaurant in conclusion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a fan of chinese food, probably I have less chinese friend but when I worked in Mid Valley last time, my chinese keep on saying about this dish. So i decided to try! It’s really spicy i tell you, you can feel the hotness and burn inside your stomach after the meal. As a pure melayu totok, I love it! But the choices in mid valley is wayyy less than Melawati Mall. Probably because it’s new and suddenly pandemic hits and all that

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The level 1 spicy is hot as f. The food are overcooked. The soup salty than sea until I lost my taste of sense. I think I need a medical checkup after this meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 star cuz they keep forgetting my drinks and soup for some reason. Also less ingredients selection compare to other branch. Cashier is a bit slack and you need to remind them your missing drinks/soup.
Cannot believe I actually will crave for this kind of taste. Went there twice but for the 2nd visit they forget the soup for some reason. Both visit I choose "giler pedas" level which I think is the most hot level and really love it. 1st visit cost me around RM 40 + cuz I being greedy and pick too many vegetables. 2nd visit cost around RM 30+ so I consider quite ok for the price since the is really filling. The spiciness of this "mala" (麻辣) is a bit different than the chilli sauce we use to. mala will have more after kick for spicy taste and the dry pot style mala is kinda oily for some people. Overall I dig this taste, not sure why, will visit again.
