One of the worst dining experience. The chef at sushi counter claims to have 35 years experience in Japanese cuisine but serves one of the worst sushi in town. Produce are not fresh and sushi rice is not well cooked.

Came to Minori as I could not get a booking anywhere else. Made a reservation over the phone and was asked to pre-order because the restaurant gets "busy." Looking at the menu and considering that the restaurant was in a hotel and have "good-ish" reviews, I was a little bit anticipant of what the experience would be like. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it definitely did not live up to expectations. The food was slightly above average, but certain dishes such as the beef teppanyaki, soft shell crab roll were quite a letdown. The sushi took a really long time to arrive too even though we pre-ordered. With the price I paid (RM430++ for 4 adults and 1 child), I think I would have been better off going to Rakuzen or something.

First time here due to the previous review. Unfortunately, it does not meets the expectation. The beef teriyaki was over cooked & the mixed veg too salty. The garlic really a let down as too wet & less of garlic aroma like normal Japanese restaurants would served. The sashimi & the soup was a comfort . Service can be better as no refilling green tea unless you keep pressing the service button. For the price paid, it was way below hotel standard.

The food is good. Salmon is thick and fresh. The price is a little steep but still consider acceptable as expected inside Royal Chulan. The services spoiled everything. Pathetic services from the team. First of all, the restaurant is empty and I had to ask to refill my tea even thought I’ve waited the food for 30 minutes. Second time, I had to walk my self to the bar and refill myselve as the waitress don’t bother to serve me. Secondly, the restaurant is empty yet they forgot one of my order. Waited 45 minutes for a Chicken Katsu? No apologies from waitress and the face is as black as the floor. The rice only service after 25 minutes. Thirdly, the food serving is so slow. I even finish my rice while waiting for second main dish. Total waiting time from order is around 40-45 minutes. Fourth, the lady waitress don’t even bother to say thank you when I paid. So I’m the one who thanks her as manners. Saturday 12pm, empty restaurant, slow serving food, bad services, service charge being charged. Extremely disappointed with a Japanese restaurant inside Royal Chulan. Some said underrated, I would say it should stay low rated. Overall, spent RM250 for 2 adult and a 2years old kid. First time here and last time here.

Well presented and prepared dishes and great service. I tend to come here for a reasonably priced shabu shabu especially.

Minori serves Ochazuke (a Japanese dish made by pouring green tea, dashi, or hot water over cooked rice), which isn't typically found in Malaysia. The beef hot stone grill was good and well worth the money even though the beef teppanyaki (different than the hot stone grill) was not up to par. RM 150 for 2 person (we ordered a total of 4 dishes: the salmon oyako ochazuke, beef slice hot stone grill, beef teppanyaki and ebi gyoza). I'll definitely be back again for the hot stone grill and I hope they stay in business!

Food served is delicious and using fresh ingredients. Sashimi and sushi is super tasty. Although the price is at medium range but it is still worth the value. The restaurant ambience is cozy and menu selection is quite varieties. Great customer service by the staff. Keep it up.

A little difficult to locate but also it’s because ecurve closed down. However, when my hubby and I called the place to ask for directions, we were presented with extreme patience and help in regarding how to reach the place. Amazing service i would say, such a pleasant experience from the start to the end. Went on NYE & the food was so fresh and delicious. Would like to note the meat was a liiiiittle dry tho. Other than that, super soothing ambience and the tables were spacious, enough for all the food we ordered. Totalled up to RM200+ and was very worth the experience and food quality, would definitely come back again for another visit.
