★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A temple that has a long history that'll give a glimpse is what the old days looks like. Don't recommend to visit during peak session

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small local Chinese temple found next to leafy park. Note that it closes at 4pm on weekdays and 3 pm on weekends. This is probably the largest temple in Ipoh city but there are much larger ones with caves outside the city. There is some information in English on the temple as well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every year will pray for tai sui here.
I pray here since I was young following my mom to this temple.
Depends on your luck, sometimes a lot of people and need to queue. Sometimes very fast.
Old temple in Ipoh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local folks are fond of referring it as Paloh Khoo Miu (Paloh Old Temple) in Cantonese. History of temple dates back to 1872. Rich in history and popular tales, ... ask the temple authorities and the old folks hanging around. On normal days, a serene place to explore in leisure for tourists interested in Chinese culture and Taoism. A good place to visit to get a feel of times gone past in normal time. On festive days, mix around with the large crowd and observe the giant colourful joss sticks and prayers in progress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Firstly, it’s not as grand as the temples in Singapore, KL or Penang. But this is a historical building in Ipoh build by the pioneers and immigrants back in the days. It’s special cause it’s still on after so many years. It’s a place my grandfather used to pray when they travel to Ipoh. It’s a heritage.
