Restaurant Kim Seng

I have been dining here since 13 years ago when I was still a student. Came here for the dinner time Chinese stir-fry. They only have one chef doing all the stir fry. The mum operates the mixed rice. Price has been low since the beginning and portion remains huge. Food tastes good but like most people say, dining here requires a lot of patience. Waiting time can be from 5 minutes to an hour or more. The auntie kitchen helper has been working here for more than 13 years or probably longer than that. She used to have a very good memory of the orders but perhaps due to aging she is prone to forgetting. One of the reason why the order came slow is also because they prioritize take away orders & let dine in customers wait. And what I dislike the most is that if you have more than 1 different order, the 2nd order may or may not come. And if it does, it may come more than 30 minutes after your 1st order. If you're dining here, make sure you sit at the sitting area in front of the stir-fry kitchen. If you sit at the elevated mixed rice section, the chances of your orders getting forgotten is 90% or higher. And make sure when you sit down, your face is facing the kitchen. This is because the auntie kitchen helper remembers your orders by looking out from her station into the sitting area. From here she recollects the order from your face. If she doesn't see you easily then you can bet you will never get your order until you walk up to her station and remind her. She might give you a free fried egg for forgetting your order. I keep coming back here because each dish are priced at around RM6.50 price point. Where do you find this value in this day and age? Other Chinese stir-fries are mostly priced at RM9 and above with pathetic portion and poor cooking quality & taste. Food taste mostly the same here for the past 13 years. The same chef do all the stir fry after taking over the business from his father. Surely this place has fed a lot of students and working adults over the years at very affordable prices yet very high quality cooking. Although it does test your patience to dine here. If you don't have 2 hours to waste here, don't come here. Or come at 6pm to be the 1st customer. Or order for take away. Avoid 6.30pm to 9pm unless you have the patience of a monk. Come late, most of the green vegetables are sold out. Your call.

The mix rice here has good variety and the price is actually cheap. 3 dishes (chicken, vegetables and egg) cost me anywhere between RM6.5-7. The economy noodle store is cheap and good as well. May not be the most hygienic place and parking here during lunch time can be very hard to find..

Uni & young crowd mostly.... Chap Fun or Economy Rice is served here. Value for money servings. There's a couple of stalls that serves good value hawker fare... Recommended.

Came for dinner. Not bad. The rice quality is not good though, will be going with the noodles again when I come back. Parking is always a problem here, you gotta be patient, circle a few times and be ready to walk (at least the driver). We came after the regular early dinner crowd and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. Portion size is good, and there was a good amount of meat or vegetables in it. Taste is acceptable. Will try the place across the road, the next time I visit this area.

I have dabao mixed rice with the dish of minced pork tofu but when I went back and found that the tofu have gone bad and got black spot... But the other dishes taste are pretty good and fair price

Always like the GuiZhou Flavor stall.

DINNER ONLY! This is one of the best Sweet & Sour Pork（咕噜肉）you can find in PJ at a very undervalued price - RM7.50! I have been eating here since 15yrs ago when I stayed in Section 17 for my Foundation Course. Till today, this stall still survived! You cant find this aroma and flavors anywhere else. It always been served freshly despite the long queue. You may need to wait at least 15-30 mins queue if there are lots of orders! Lots of students and working adults dine here for the valued meals! Fret Not! You will be very satisfied with the dish and recharge your battery after a long day!

This is the best Chinese restaurant that I can find nearby this place. Directly cooked by the chef. Always satisfied whenever I visit there. You should definitely try this place. The staffs are so kind.
