If you think you could escape the crowd by going on a Sunday? Think again...all the restaurants were full in Kampung Bukit Tinggi. ?
For our first food stop, we were lucky to be able to get a place here.
Come here to try their signature stir fried egg noodles with the crispy fried pork belly - its really delicious. ?
Other than that, try also their local vege specialties like the Tin Chat leaf (said to be good for blood pressure) & the watercress. ?
Also, freshwater fishes are also a local specialty dish in the area, we ordered the steamed Silver Catfish (Patin) which was really fleshy & fresh. ?

We had the patin fish in claypot with Chinese wine, fried sotong, green dragon vegetables, tofu with choi po and ribs (afraid I can't remember as I wasnt the one ordering). Also liked that it was spacious airy with high ceilings. There's parking in front.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gave 126 a shot because 1) open air and 2) D'village View next door was closed. Asked for the recommendations, and friendly waitstaff suggested claypot patin which had firm meat and tasty sauce and huge kangkung (infamous in Bukit Tinggi) with salted fish that was cooked well but not properly washed. I also ordered the fresh water prawns with fried yee mee. The prawns were overcooked, the meat shrank and the sauce lacked the thickness and flavor.
The prawns were pretty expensive, about RM50 for one. But the rest of the dishes were priced well as mentioned by other reviewers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped by for early dinner on the way to KL from the East Coast. Easy reach off the Bukit Tinggi exit. Had a few simple dishes. Breezy and relaxed atmosphere. Service was super prompt - the Manager is really hard working. He recommends dishes, refills teapots with hot water, attends to the cashier - and he's cheery too. Had bentong stuffed taufupuffs, stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic, spare ribs with sweet and sour sauce and fried taufu with minced meat. Kids loved it, they added on rice to polish off all our mains. Prices are reasonable, portions were adequate. After dinner, we bought fresh vegetables from the stall in the car park - all reasonably priced. Left a good impression and certainly 'will make a point to remember them' when we're in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located at the foothill of Bukit Tinggi, this double storey restaurant has plenty of car park lots . Had lunch over the weekend and this place is packed! Waiting time for the dishes to be out was 30-45mins . For group lunch, best to call to reserve the tables and arrive on time . Food here is 4 stars! Delicious! Only thing is the place is not so hygienic as flies can be seen around the table .
