★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really clean and tasty Indian food. I’m a big lover of Indian food and my experience here was really interesting mostly because pretty much every dish on the buffet were new to me.
The vegetarian chicken curry was crazy good, and made out of mushrooms.
It was really heavy and intense flavours, for some it could be very spicy too, but Indian food is as always a good experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is pure vegetarian restaurant in little India in Georgetown. Food test is good. We went around 9:30 PM so many items were not available.
Entrance is not wheelchair friendly.
Baby sitter available.
Serves almost all indian dishes.
Infrastructure is okay. Not fancy and not greatly clean. Can be made much clearer.
Food test is good for many items.
This is busy restaurants in that area.
Food served may not be always hot as they prepare some items early and do not heat them.
Compare to this woodland just opposite to it has much better interior and hygiene.
As it has good test given these guys 3 star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t even deserve a star ! I ordered mushroom kottu porata. Tasted like salt packet. They sell it so pricey, but the portion was not half of the box and to taste like salt. Worst ever experience ! I know this shop have been franchise well but i guess its time for me to move on. The shop’s food quality and services is deteriorating terribly. Never going this shop ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service. Servants was very rude to customers,,behave to customers something we own them. Went there for tea time..about 5pm. They don't have any tea snacks. Never expected sri ananda bhavan service so bad.very attitude workers.Never go here anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing vegetarian/vegan food! As soon as you walk into the restaurant you get hungry from all the food of the buffet. And the menu has plenty options to choose from. Waiters are very friendly and the food we ordered was all delicious, big portions as well for a very good price. Curries were good and spicy and the breads are super fresh. Would 100% recommend for anyone who is hungry.

Travelling in Penang, I thought of trying out satisfying my craving for a masala dosa. What I got was a cold(already prepared) dosa and instead of normal potatoes there was a mix veg (peas, mushrooms etc) in the dosa. While I am all up for fusion/innovation, this wasn't a case of that and it looked like the restaurant just substituted the potatoes with mix veg. All in all making me regret my decision to have food here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a Vegetarian restaurant serving authentic, delicious South Indian cuisine in Little India, Georgetown, Penang. They have a few branches that do serve non-vegetarian too.
Am here again but this time it’s to celebrate Sri Ananda Bahwan’s giveaway “Chicken” Briyani to those whom are fully vaccinated against Covid19, what a nice gesture of CSR ??. Top up with their popular “Mutton” dish that is not to be missed. Nanri!
