Food taste a little plain than liking. Seems like an old shop, popular with tourist over the weekend. Still worth a visit.

Well known for hainan style coffee, tea, butter kaya toast, chicken chop and fried mee. Real old authentic cooking. The taste is simple, back to basic and bring back a lot of small kid memory of 60s and 70s. For those youngsters 20s who wanted to try out the cooking that really nostagic should try the cooking here. I like the owner Mr Tan who is also the cook is cool and quiet. If you happen to visit Kual Kubu, this is a sure place to go for breakfast.

Taste of the chicken chop and fried rice is different and unique. I personally feel is an acquired taste. Maybe order one to try it before ordering for everyone.

Let's start with the chicken chop which is the signature dish here. A must try to at least sample the light gravy which surprisingly is quite flavoursome. Noodles slightly missed the point for me - the peppery taste was a bit too heavy. But overall, a good experience and a joint that is riding a lot on its history and heritage. Just don't expect it to be much cheaper than KL prices. Portions are light - probably explains why the nasi lemak kosong bungkus were available on the table!

Not sure what's all the low reviews about. In a small town like KKB I thought food like this is pretty decent. We had chicken chop, toast, and noodles. All remind me of the taste at my hometown -- simple yet on point. The unique thing about the chicken chop is its gravy. We expected it to be thick and brown. But it is clear and light -- still delicious nevertheless. Do you know that this restaurant is halal certified? The owner used to be a champion in cooking competition. He has hosted kings & ministers. He is also a strong figure in the KKB community. Read the wall! Have a chat with the boss!

Pretty decent homestyle traditional Hainanese food .. the chicken Chop is as classic as it can be and it's pretty decent food. The hainanese noodles, I felt a bit too salty for my likings. The nasi lemak is so so at max, while the roti steam and roti bakar is pretty good with the kaya and butter.

Famous for their Chicken Chop, very authentic, the Hainan Fried Rice quite good too with enough 'wok hei'. When we reached there at 10am it was already packed. Luckily didn't wait for long. Food served fast. It was very nice of the Lady Boss who keep checking on whether we had our food being served.
