★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi Zanmai is already a pretty established franchise on its own. Had a good experience at Sushi Zanmai Avenue K. Had to wait a bit before getting a seat due to SOP. They placed us at a bigger table after a group of customers finish eating. The food quality was excellent! Had unagi don and salmon temaki. My friends' sushi roll tasted amazing as well. Super satisfied. The servers were friendly and accommodating as well. Ambience was cozy and quiet, love the decor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The servers were ‘meh’ as they were not locals but they know their menu quite well and you could order with qr code, so that’s not a problem.
I never liked Udon but somehow, the Udon here was delicious. Their sashimi was fresh and soft shelled crab sushi was fantastic.
I have to give praise to the Manager (I think), a chinese guy, wearing black shirt with glasses. He was so understanding and compassionate about his job and his customers even when the restaurant was full.
We were 3 mommies with 3 kiddos who added onto our order and realised that the add on order will be delayed. We had to leave and asked to cancel the additional order. A server was reluctant to cancel but the Manager did it for us anyway. There was a long queue outside the restaurant too. So thank you for the restaurant’s understanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always, always my favourite spot for Japanese food whenever I'm in KL. A good place for warm food and rest after walking around KLCC. Came back after more than two years of not being able to visit KL. I have been a loyal regular customer when I was studying in KL. The food is as usual, delicious, fresh, good quality and reasonable price. I find that the portion has increased quite surprisingly during this time of visit.
I ordered yakiniku Don, chicken katsu Don, california maki, natto and assorted tempura. Overall, very attentive service, high quality of food at a reasonable average price. Definitely worth the visit.
