A clean park with old transportation exibits. You have train, airplane and Bullock cart. Located near tourist attraction area. Washrooms are at the nearby shopping Mall within walking distance.

The park is nice, but overall it deserves no more than a star because of the filthy toilet. This place is next to main attraction to visitors and tourist and you know the local authority has not done their job enough when basic amenities looks as terrible as this.

Visited this park back in Feb before the MCO and lockdown. Taman Bunga Merdeka is an oddity of a park. It’s part park and part open museum. As a park, it’s a nice bit of green space in a city with a dearth of green space, and right in the of the historic, heritage part of the city too. While the park is not all that big, it’s large and pleasant enough for a wander or sit down as there are plenty of stone seats dotted along the paved paths. The open air museum contains several interesting exhibits such as a retired Twin Pioneer CC Mk 1 aircraft, a decommissioned locomotive named Sungai Lukut 21111, which also doubles up as a souvenir shop. It’s not the most exciting thing to do in Melaka, but if you have time in the city, it’s a nice place to relax. There are playground and some kind of simulated flying experience inside the plane. I’ve not seen any of these open, but it is not high season or the current worldwide reduced tourism.

One park that does exist in the city centre is along Jalan Kota, facing the People’s Museum and the strip of other museums in that street. It is known as Taman Bunga Merdeka but still remembered as Coronation Park, a name given to commemorate the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne in June 1953.

The park is great, lot's of flowers and clean too. The rickshaws should be playing local songs instead since this is tourist attraction.

I really liked this park, it was really shady, cooling and windy, a suitable place to rest and relax after a long walk from visiting the surrounding area. Strategically located in between Dataran Pahlawan Megamall and Menara Taming Sari, and just along Jalan Kota nearby A’Famosa. In the middle of the park is the St Francis Xavier commemorative stone.
