โ โ โ โ โ Most convenient location for TGV cinema in PJ. Lots of parking spots for night shows. Easy to find and locate. However when I visit on 30 March 2021 the express lane for beverages collection had no staff attending the customers who ordered online. I lined up in the normal lane to collect my pop corn and to get ahead of the customers in the express lanes. Seats were clean and comfortable. The capacity of the cinema is not as big as compared to other malls so if you like sitting far away from screen avoid row D onwards as it was already very near.

โ โ โ โ โ Now that cineplexes are re-opened, it was a nice experience watching a movie at TGV 1 Utama. SOP is precisely followed. Place is clean. Staff helpful and courteous. Not to mention, their tickets are much cheaper than GSC for the same movie daytime.

โ โ โ โ โ Lovely me time experience. Though i didnt get the chance to experience the Indulge Lounge, the Indulge seating experience itself was great. Hopefully get the chance to experience the lounge soon!

โ โ โ โ โ They have quite a big lobby, yet their waiting area donโt have a lot of seats for customer to wait for the hall to open. They do have seating area, but all of them were marked with โXโ with a note mind the gap. Which is confusing to me whether they actually allow people to seat on it or not. You canโt buy food by walk in anymore, all orders must be made through the app and collect at the counter, which is ok for health safety. But this place got crowded with people that donโt ovey the SOP. Almost 0 social distance. So should have someone to monitor the situation on that part. Cinema wise, a little bit dusty and smelly. Not sure if it was the sanitizer.

โ โ โ โ โ Pretty shocking experience as far as going to a cinema goes. The staff is rude, things are out of stock, long lines that took ages, scanners that don't work properly. I've been to TGV cinemas before and had good experiences, but the management in 1U seemed to have phoned it in and just couldn't care less about their customers.

โ โ โ โ โ Got myself an indulge ticket. They serve you a welcome drink and some popcorn while they get the hall ready. The hall and the blanket is clean. Unfortunately they do not have a screen to order food. Youโll have to call the waiters in the hall if you would like to order.

โ โ โ โ โ I watched Dune here at the IMAX hall. Wow, what a phenomenal experience. The visuals were breathtaking, as was the sound design. SO GOOD. ?
The screen height is about 40โ43 feet (not sure about the size) and the great thing is that it fills up the entire screen, unlike Sunway velocity. TGV's IMAX ratio is 1:90:1, which is an IMAX Digital Xenon projection (2K Resolution). Some may call that LieMax.?
Picture quality is very good, but it's not as sharp as Onyx's screen quality, which uses 4K projection and LED screen, so obviously onyx better lah. I saw some dirt on the screen. I hope they fix that. Most of the theaters have this issue.
The sound system was great; you could feel the rumbles. At some point, I noticed that the projector vibrated along with the sound ?. It was pretty loud tho. Better than Atmos. (*Hans Zimmer's background score was stunning ?).
Seat arrangements are OK. Legroom was not good. It's a little too narrow for me.Only the H row has plenty of legroom. Mine was G row. The viewing angle is great.
Yes, it is immersive, but it depends on the movie choice. I'll suggest watching movies that were shot on IMAX; only that can justify the TRUE IMAX experience.
Otherwise, everything is great. The staff were warm and friendly. The cinema looks good as well.
P.S. sorry for the blurry photos that I uploaded, it's just because I'm a bad photographer ok? but anyways, thanks for reading this.
